I am a first time home owner and a single woman. With that being said, I had a laundry list of things that I would like to do to the house but no desire to purchase a million kinds of power tools! I wanted to find someone reputable and creative to help me. Stephen has been a great find! He has put in exterior and interior doors where there was merely a wall and it turned out fantastic! He pays close attention to detail and asks lots of questions. He is very crafty when it comes to doing the best with the budget you have to work with. I have never felt as if I had settled for a lesser project with the work he has done. He has also opened seven stained glass windows that were sealed shut. I was particularly worried about the windows as they are very delicate and antique. He did a superb job on them! I have never felt comfortable leaving someone alone in my home and have done so a few times with Stephen and had no worries at all. He is that handy guy we all need! He is very pleasant and responsible to work with. I cannot say enough about Stephen and his business. What a find! We still have many more projects to go, but I feel confident knowing he will be doing it.
Performed interior painting and floor refinishing. Good quality work, reasonable price.
Kearley Masonary was hired to repoint our rock basement due to rodent access. Steve was wonderful to work with, explaining things as he went along. Very knowledgeable about his craft, Steve buttoned up our basement, after completing the repointing, he waterproofed all of the walls. As well Steve was hired to re-grade our front yard down by approximately 10 inches. The to high level of the lawn caused the sill to rot in places allowing rodents to enter. Steve placed a pipe underground to drain water from the downspout away from the house, built a retaining wall, removed two sidewalks and re-poured the main walk. I highly recommend Steve Kearley for your next massonary job. You won't be sorry. Marilyn Price
I hired Joseph Speranza for both interior and exterior work. To replace gutter and siding, repair entry door canopy that had fallen off due to the bad wnter. To replace entry and storm door and fix wall all damaged due to the winter, as well are replace outer window sill. They did a great job. It all came out very nice and I couldn't be more pleased. There did all the repairs within the time framed they had promised and cleaned up nicely when they were done. I would definitely hire them again!!
Matt and his two guys did a great job on a variety of tasks: painting, vinyl siding, tile, hardwood floor repair, interior doors, bathroom fixes. They were prompt, courteous, cost-effective, and efficient. I will hire Matt again, definitely recommend him.
This January my pipes froze and my family room was damaged by water. The ceiling, floor and a section of wall had to be replaced and the whole room needed to be painted. Paschal has great workers that did the entire job. They were fast ,polite and cleaned up when they were done. No radios, no smoking. Whenever I had questions Paschal contacted me quickly by phone or text. He is fast, friendly, and fare. My family room looks so good, I am now considering doing the kitchen and I will be calling him again!
Matt has been absolutely fantastic so far. I originally hired him to install window blinds, and when he came out for his free estimate he let me know his other abilities. My husband and I hired him on the spot to do wallpaper removal and painting in our hallway and we plan to continue to use him for painting and other jobs. He is personable, hardworking, efficient, and communicative. His hourly rate is definitely worth it when you see the amount of work he can complete in an hour. I feel totally confident leaving him alone in our home, and confident with the work he will do. Thanks, Matt!
Marcio and his crew are meticulous, quick, and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them for a small, large, interior or exterior job.
This is the first time I hired a carpenter for breaking two closets and making a opening between kitchen and living room (it is a baring wall) He is easy to communicate. Came, check and gave quote. from next day they started work and finished within 2 days. Before left they cleaned everything properly and also put some salt on my stairs. My wife and I was amazed. Thanks I got them. I am planning to do some other carpentry works.
Bryan did an excellent job repairing and refinishing our ceiling. We had damage from a water leak and then a big mark to cover up from a wall being torn down. The ceiling looks great now. He came back the following weekend to do some finishing touches and it all looks great. Very responsive, punctual, and professional. I would highly recommend!
.RMPaolino Construction was contracted to remodel my unfinished basement and install baseboard heat throughout my house. Mr. Paolino and his team did an outstanding job planning and accomplishing this difficult job. The work was scheduled so that it caused me very little inconvenience and all phases of the job were completed on schedule. All of the work and construction materials were of professional grade, and the overall price tag was more than reasonable. I intend to hire Mr. Paolino to do other work on my property. Because my house is 114 years old, many adjustments and accommodations had to be made in order to accomplish everything I wanted. Nevertheless, Mr. Paolino worked around all of the obstacles and got everything done that I requested. And it looks great. I highly recommend his services. The overall project included the items listed below. 1. Cleared the basement of all junk and debris. 2. Removed the old boiler from the basement and 12 radiators and pipes throughout the house. 3. Removed all of the old steam piping, old excess electrical wires and unused gas lines running through the basement. 4. Removed all artificial walls, ceilings and floors throughout the basement. 5. Installed a brand new modern boiler and enclosed it with walls with sliding doors for access. 6. Installed baseboard heaters throughout the three-story house. 7. Replaced numerous copper water pipes with fiberglass pipes and insulated the copper piping that was not replaced. 8. Replaced seven basement windows with new windows. 9. Restored the worn brick walls of the basement 10. Framed the entire basement and installed insulation. 11. Installed and painted dry wall throughout the basement. 12. The electrical circuit box was replaced and electrical and cable ready outlets were installed all around the walls. The electrical circuit breaker, gas meter and water meter were enclosed in a small room with an access door. 13. A utility area was created on a raised platform where a washer, dryer, and sink were installed. 14. The basement floor was covered with an industrial strength carpet. 15. A drop ceiling with large panels with embedded florescent lights was installed.
I couldn't be happier with how our interior paint work came out! Marcio and team painted every room in our house from bold, dark colors (from the previous owner) to light, modern beautiful colors. The trim, ceiling, and baseboard white really makes the house feel brand new. Marcio worked with the price we were able to afford and went above & beyond to get the work down in time for our move. He also coordinated a reasonably priced cleaner at the end and they did a spectacular job.. there was not an ounce of dust to be found! Painting for 8 rooms (first and second floor) took about two weeks, paint was included in the pricing, and after doing my research - he was the most reasonable out there. Very high quality work. My husband and I are very happy homeowners now!
I needed a spare/storage room finished. The room needed Sheetrock, plywood flooring, taping and sanding. Gil did all of that and then painted, added baseboard trim as well as trimmed out the door and window. Separately he removed 2 in wall a/c units and closed up the openings including new shingles and exterior paint. Gil did an excellent job! He's meticulous and reasonably priced and just a nice person. I'm looking forward to having him back for other projects in the future. Worth every penny!!!
We hired Van to repair some drywall and paint some of the interior rooms of our home. He arrived and gave an estimate. Then he came back at another time to meet with us to discuss exactly what we wanted done. He was timely and professional and very courteous. He came back the next day for five days to take care of all the things we needed to fix and paint. He and his partner showed up at the exact same time everyday and put in a full day's work. Everyday when they left, they left my home very neat and tidy and were very diligent about that. They did an awesome job. It looks great. I felt they were trustworthy and if I need more work done, would definitely hire them again.
Woody took down a load bearing wall and put in a support beam. He was on time, very clean, and reasonably priced. I can't recommend his service enough!
We hired Greelan to put in new ceiling and walls in our dining room and plaster around support beams. He did an incredible amount of work in a short period of time and was meticulous about keeping work area neat before starting project and then afterwards. He was always reachable and also did a lot more more than originally quoted for us at only a small additional fee. We will plan to work with him again for future projects and would recommend to anyone in need of a plasterer.
Paul was prompt and professional. He cut out a section of bathroom wall and installed a new cabinet and replaced a lamp. We were very happy with the results.
Tim and crew were hired to convert a breezeway space into a four season room. This involved demolishing and rebuilding two outside walls, removing shingle from the other two walls, and finishing the interior to the point of being ready for painting. He installed a slider, exterior doors, and windows. From the estimate phase through completion, Tim was upfront and professional. He and his crew did quality work, from excellent finish carpentry to making sure the site was cleaned up after each day's work. If problems were found along the way, Tim brought them to my attention promptly and worked collaboratively to find solutions. The only downside of this experience was having the start date of the job delayed. Despite that, however, Tim completed the job within my required timeline. I think all builders have challenges with time/job management, so that said, Tim performed relatively well. I would hire him again, and give high recommendations. Thanks, guys, for your awesome work!
