Introduction: Hello- my name is Sarah Hennessey, and I am a classically trained soprano and actor. I have been teaching voice around the country professionally for three years, and have finally settled in Boston. My voice studio is open to all ages, genres, and learning styles. We balance the science and pedagogy of singing with simple, effective analogies, all in collaboration with mind body connection. My greatest joy is helping students accomplish their goals! I owe Sarah a giant debt of gratitude for making an amazing life moment happen for me at my very own wedding. Sarah worked with me, patiently and diligently, for several months to coach me in singing a French song as a surprise to my new French husband and family. And yet, neither her or I spoke the language fluently and I had absolutely no singing or performance experience in my life! Sarah was always positive, professional and amazing at each and every weekly lesson. She even worked with my wedding musicians. She truly worked a miracle with this task and it went off without a hitch! My husband was floored, beyond moved, and a standing ovation (granted, it was a 170+ person room of my own friends and family)! Nonetheless, and I’m not exaggerating: it was the most happy and proud moment of my life, and there was no way I could've done it without Sarah. Sure, maybe I could’ve hired another teacher, but the personal investment, commitment to the performance, camaraderie and the level of comfort Sarah offered me could’ve never been matched. She truly gave me the confidence to go out there and belt it out from my heart, and create a lifelong memory that she'll always be a part of!
