- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started Bare Bones Travel, becuase there are too many travel tour companies that provide the same services, that don't seem to aim at young professionals. They all over charge a significant amount-don't include taxes or fees-never seem to be leaving from your international airpirt- book your day from 8am to 10pm and expect you to take a vacation from Wednesday-Tuesday. BBT makes all of the activities optional- allowing you to participate at your own will so you don't get stuck at museums and events you have no interest in. We promote getting involved and interacting with other people you'll meet in the Hostels and we ALWAYS travel at realistic times (Friday-Sunday in Europe/Africa, Saturday-Sunday South America, and Thursday-Monday for Asia/South Pacific/Australia). The prices you see on the website is what you pay- there are no hidden fees or extras. I thought we needed something like this- to break up the traditional mold of tours and tour operators.
