About this pro
Alissa is a wonderful Reiki Healer!! She has helped me create a much more pleasant life with just two sessions so far!! I highly recommend her!Aug 26, 2015Verified
I was one of Alissa's students from when she started teaching until she left Massachusetts for Portland, Oregon. Alissa is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Alissa's classes were excellent. She knows how to describe and demonstrate a position, and she's good at helping novices like me adjust our positions to be more comfortable. Her classes had excellent variety, and when we asked to be challenged, she challenged us. She achieved a good balance at encouraging us to try the more advanced positions while also encouraging us to work at our own level. Alissa is outgoing and very friendly. I encourage others to try one of Alissa's classes.Jul 24, 2015

I am glad you felt this way in my classes! Thank you for your kind words! All the best.
Alissa is one of those rare teachers that has that inexplicable magic and you just KNOW this is what she is meant to be doing. Her intuitive assisting and heart-felt connection to the practice combine to make her one of my favorite instructors ever.Jul 16, 2015Alissa P.'s reply
Hearing this just makes me realize I am living out my life's work. Thank you for the humbling words. Much love.
Alissa taught yoga at our workplace. I am not new to yoga but havenât done much of it the last few years and Alissaâs class was a great way to get back into it again. Her verbal cues and demonstrations are clear and I felt like I learned a lot after just one class. She is so extremely helpful with assisting you as you bend, shift and twist your way into the poses... your comfort and proper form are one of her utmost focuses. I love that Alissa always asks her students if there is anything that someone would like to work on before the class begins. As others have noted here, she is very passionate about yoga and is dedicated to helping others reap its benefits and I would highly recommend trying her classes.Jul 27, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing for a private client can vary and will depend on how far I have to travel. My typical price is $65/75 minute lesson. If you buy a bundle of 5 classes at once, I offer it at $250. I can also do groups, birthdays, bachelorette parties, night before the wedding, etc. that vary depending on group size and again, travel time. A corporate client that allows their employees to take a class after work I charge $120 for up to 6 people per hour. Negotiable and vary per size.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get all the needs down before a class: does the client have any background or experience with yoga; do they want meditation/relaxation methods; would they like flow or prefer slow one pose at a time; are they working with injuries?...I want to ask as much as I can before I get in there so I may create a class best for individual student needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Since my 200HR RYT I also received certification in Kids Yoga teaching as well as my Reiki I level certification to give energy healing, which I can mix into my teaching.
