- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Home Organizing is an hourly rate. With the Art, it is per project and depends on size of canvas. Half payment is made at the beginning of the project and half on completion of the painting. Up to 154 square inched canvas (e.g. 9x12", 11x14") $550 Up to 432 square inched canvas (e.g. 16x20", 18x24") $800 Up to 720 square inched canvas (e.g. 24x30") $1000
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
With the home organizing side of my business, I was actually approached by an acquaintance who asked for help and was willing to pay. I had previously helped friends as friends but had never been paid. Word of mouth spread the business. With the Art, I began painting about 8 years ago as a hobby, but again, started to receive commissions from friends.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Those that need help with decluttering, down sizing for a move, wardrobe overhaul, basements (black holes for junk.) Those looking for a special gift of art or to honor someone special in their life by having their portrait commissioned.
