I have used Chavi for private yoga lessons for almost a year now. She is deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of yoga, its history and its application for addressing the total self, not just the body. She has a very strict focus on form to assure maximum sage effect. She is very busy, so plan ahead and be regular.

Betty has been absolutely amazing to work with! My fiance and I wanted to dance a waltz to a pretty fast waltz song for our first dance. We had taken a few waltz lessons before, but it had been awhile. Betty walked us through a bunch of new moves and made sure we fully understood each one before moving on. Her teaching style is very clear, and she has no problem demonstrating and leading and showing us exactly what to do. But she manages to do it all while being so nice and thoughtful! I never felt silly, and I never felt like we weren't getting it. After a few lessons, she choreographed out a nice routine with the moves we had learned that fit the music we chose. We're in the middle of practicing and learning. I've loved my experience with Betty, and if we weren't moving out of the country I'd continue to take dance lessons with her!

Ian has been teaching our 7-8 year old private tap lessons for the last year. Our favorite thing about it is that Ian's talent really gives us the sense of infinite growth potential, but he still meets William at just the right level for that particular moment. Ian is very in tune with his students, and can adapt his style and curriculum until he gets the best response from his students. We also like that he is teaching some of the underlying music theory and history of tap, which William certainly wouldn't get in his normal dance classes. Ian makes a point to welcome us at every one of the Subject:Matter performances that we've gone to, which has made the whole family feel plugged into the larger Boston tap community. Ian has been easy to coordinate with and reliable, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with him!

I started taking lessons at The Dancing Feeling about six years ago expecting to learn some dance steps and get some exercise. Little did I know that very soon my whole life would change. The instructors were wonderful; so patient and encouraging. I soon went from a couple of group classes a week to private lessons as well; a perfect mix! The more I learned the more I wanted to learn. I then started competing which allowed for not only focusing on dance at a different level but also meeting lots of new friends and the opportunity to travel. The Dancing Feeling also offers a dance party each weekend where all levels of dancers are welcome. Whether you want to attend the dance parties, take group lessons, private lessons, compete, or any/all of the above, the Dancing Feeling offers it all! The friendships, experiences, and knowledge I have gained has been invaluable!

Just What I Needed to Get Started! I've been trying to get into better shape for a while, and this pilates class was just what I needed. It wasn't so easy for me, but it sure was gratifying afterwards. Madeleine was an excellent teacher. She could tell which exercises I was having difficulties with, and made sure to adjust the lesson accordingly. I learned a lot about my own body, and am just so glad I decided to take the first step in getting stronger overall. She also taught me about the many benefits of pilates that I wouldn't even have thought of. Can't wait to work with Madeleine again. Total pro. Now I just need to rest!
