I have a beautiful mixing and mastering room with a riverside view in Lawrence, MA. I also record, either with my small mobile rig or renting out local studios when necessary. I see my job, whether I'm recording, mixing, or mastering, as helping to create a SONG that communicates a feeling. Put that way, it sounds simple, but we all know the complexities involved. I also see my job as a service profession, leaving my ego at the door and serving my clients in any way I can. How can I help you with your music? Greg Abate is a genius! He is very approachable and helpful with technical information, but his results with the mixing board are outstanding. The last song he did for me was based largely on 30 year old tapes. We recorded a new lead vocal, and the result sounded entirely contemporary and very compelling!

Greg is amazing! He made everything very easy and comfortable for our daughter. She was so nervous for her first recording, but Greg made it all really easy. She's looking forward to her next session. We are happy to have found such a great studio and wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Greg has been a huge asset to the CD production of the 99 Percent project. He worked quickly and provided valuable input from a sound engineering perspective and from a musical production perspective. This project initiated in Sept, was basically finished in 4 short months and required working between his North Carolina studio and my Colorado studio. I have valued his insight and thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He truly has shaped the project from both a sound and song perspective! I hope to work with him again in the near future.

I've worked with all kinds of artists, from bands that do 300 dates a year to college kids making music on their laptops, and everything in between.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you find someone who you trust and are comfortable working with. Ultimately it's a collaboration, so approaching with that mindset can be useful.
