Introduction: I have years of experience, yet still somehow have the heart and wonder of a kid. I studied classical piano and composition at Eastman School of Music, and more jazz, rock and pop piano at Berklee. I studied voice with teachers in NYC, LA and Boston. I teach the fundamentals, but tailor my lessons to the students' goals. I enjoy being able to teach others what I've learned, and help them grow to express themselves musically. As a keyboardist and a vocalist, I've been lucky enough to have toured the world extensively as a keyboardist and vocalist (petermooreworld.com/performer), and to this day enjoy keeping busy performing professionally locally.

I have received vocal lessons from Peter for a little over six months now and he is fantastic. I can honestly say there is marked improvement in my singing. From the day one he focused on making lessons a personalized experience, by focusing on my goals and helping me determine where my strengths lie. Peter is excellent at explaining techniques such as posture and breathing and how each part affects the instrument as a whole. He is an extremely talented singer and multi-instrumentalist with an impressive background that shows through in his performance as well as his teaching. Peters positive attitude and passion for music creates a fun and upbeat learning environment. Every lesson is a challenge that keeps me on my toes, but I always go home smiling.

Peter has been my daughter's keyboard and voice teacher this past year. She enjoys the lessons immensely and has made more progress this year than she had in the prior four years. Peter's extensive experience as a musician greatly benefits his students, but it is his intelligence and passion for teaching that set him apart. Peter is amazing! I am adult student returning to try and re-learn some of the basics on acoustic piano. Peter is very patient with me and makes learning scales & technique fun. He has also shown me a lot about keyboards/synthesizers, etc, which is another part of my focus. I really look forward to my lessons with him! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Prices vary according to length of lesson, if lessons are purchased singularly or as a package, and applicable travel fees. I attach my current rate sheet when I put in the quote.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You are treated as a unique individual and therefore will receive guidance that is tailor-made for YOU. Because of this, I want to know what drives you musically, and what's inspiring you to be a better musician. It can be as simple as "I want to sound better singing in the shower" or as ambitious as "I want to bring a crowd of thousands to tears."
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a voice teacher, vocal coach and performer for more than thirty-five years. I studied piano from age 7 and through my higher education at Eastman and Berklee, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. Since college, I've trained with vocal instructors in Boston, NYC and LA. And I still perform in many different bands and projects, both on stage and in the studio.
