Introduction: I am committed to low-waste solutions and am a strong believer in re-using and re-purposing items in the home when possible. With a little paint and creativity, old things can often be brought back to life and save you money at the same time!! I love to help people! It is such a wonderful feeling to have helped someone reclaim their home after years of living in clutter and stress. I feel so blessed to have a career that enables me to improve lives while also tapping into my creativity and love for order, art and design.

We can tell you about Ducks In A Row Organizing. My husband and I moved to Newburyport from Florida last April. We took a few days to drive in while our moving truck went ahead. Shannon arranged for movers to unload the truck when it arrived. When we walked in to our new home two days later, everything was unpacked! Shannon had put everything away, cleared out the boxes and even had arranged to have the cable hooked up. The curtains were hung, the bed was made and the kitchen was stocked with everything on our shopping list. We also had a kitty litter box ready for our girls (kitties) and enough litter for a week. We’ve moved many times in our 47 yrs. of marriage, and this was by far the BEST MOVE EVER. “DUCKS “is a Winner!

I used Ducks In A Row Organizing to help with a local move. Shannon helped in the first stages with sorting, packing and assisting with shedding the clutter. After our move, she unpacked and organized our children's playspace in the basement - without her it would still be boxed up!

Shannon helped me with decorating our house for christmas. She reviewed the house and what I had in stock, gave me a shopping list for what was missing, and then put it all together for me in just a few hours. It really helped me with ideas that I could never have done on my own. She was fabulous and I had tons of compliments later that week during a holiday party! THank you Shannon!

I have known Shannon for many years. This summer Shannon did several jobs for me. The biggest of which was cleaning and organizing my playroom/office. What took Shannon less than 8 hours, would have taken me at least a week (without the kids that play in there or should I say 'reorganize' on a daily basis!). She had such great ideas, that actually work!!!! My playroom/office has stayed 'organized'!!!! I cannot thank you enough!!! You are brilliant!!!

I was overwhelmed by moving into our new home with a baby and reached out to Shannon. I wasn't quite sure what to expect especially since I wasn't clear on my needs. As soon as Shannon walked through the door I felt at ease. She took charge and assessed the situation and got straight to work. She was thoughtful, quick thinking, and truly amazing. I couldn't believe how much got done in such a short time! Shortly after she left the followed up with an email of her suggestions including links to items we discussed. I cannot recommend her enough and will be using her again in the future. - E.S

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common spaces within the home my clients struggle with are kitchens and children's playrooms. Basements are also a challenge for even generally organized families.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have been finding ways to "give back" in my community and have offered my services as a giveaway for charity auctions. I have also offered my services free of charge to a few families struggling with illness. It is so rewarding to transform a home for someone who needs that space to be comfortable and positive while they spend many days recovering within it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Many of my clients begin the process unsure. I may have several inquiries from the same person before they finally make the commitment to get started. By the time we are finished my clients admit they were apprehensive because they were unsure the cost would be a good value for the service. They always tell me they are so happy they made the decision to move forward and are so excited to share their newly claimed space with their family and friends!
