Amazing teacher. Karinochka taught me techniques and ways to observe what I was painting that my prior high school art teacher didn't. I learned a lot from her in the 5 short classes. I would definitely recommend her as a painting instructor.

A.J. did a 2 hour birthday portrait cartoon session for my daughter and her guests. He was great! I wanted to incorporate an art lesson, and he was very accommodating, resourceful and fun to work with. He taught them about drawing faces, and as 1 girl was sitting for him, the others tried their hand at drawing each other. The 5 girls (btw 12-13) loved their cartoon portraits because they were "so much more realistic", and less comedic, than traditional caricatures. Totally would recommend A.J. to others with confidence. He is a talented professional who really enjoys his work and can produce a unique, memorable gift in minutes!

We had Chris do a mural for our son in his playroom. He did super hero's all around the room. It came out amazing!

I'm a Jenn-of-all-trades when it comes to design. My degree is in fine art/illustration, and I have over 8 years of graphic design experience. I've worked on creating brands for people, places, and colleges, as well as work with licensed brands to create promotional and marketing material. I have done print design, t-shirt design, digital 3-D renderings, murals, paintings, band logo and CD artwork, menus, invitations, and preproduction art. A typography and art history guru, I incorporate classic composition elements and clean lines to produce the most attractive and eye-catching designs.

Emma Rickert is a Boston based freelance illustrator specializing in painted images, mural work, and children's book illustration.

If you are in need of fabulous illustrations, you've come to the right artist. I love to create whimsical cartoons, or tightly drawn portraits. My skills vary and I can tailor them to fit your vision and together we can come up with the right images for your project!

I am dedicated to my craft and meticulous in the polish of my illustrations. From start to finish, sketch to final art, my work is clean and professional. Generally, my stylization of human faces and animals are what first draw art directors to my images. There is a friendliness and warmth to my expressions which adds a sense of approachability to my work from young and old audiences alike. That in conjunction with my particular way of working with my media and use of bright color palettes makes me well suited for the children's industry.
