Introduction: I am an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, 200-hour trained yoga instructor, and Master Reiki practitioner. My training style is a fusion of east meet west. I use Western exercise science, strength and conditioning to help promote weight loss and grow muscles for my clients. I also use yoga and sometimes Reiki to prevent injury and deepen the mind body connection. I also work off a hybrid model of personal training. During this pandemic, top gyms and personal training studios have decided the hybrid model is the best protocol. That means some of our sessions will be virtual and some of them will be in person. We can hold sessions outdoors on a nice day and develop our coaching vocabulary, then use that vocabulary later on during virtual sessions. On a personal note, I exercise to maintain my emotional health. I'm a very different person when I am versus am not exercising regularly. Can you relate?

Massage Therapy

As a rape survivor I have unique body trauma that only Nardone Holistic has been able to address. I have seen experts at Massachusetts General Hospital and they could do nothing. As a breast cancer survivor, I did not have the arm strength to do my favorite Iyengar yoga - and the modified yoga did not help me at all. I felt so much better after my first session. After a few I could feel my body feel alive again, muscles relaxed and I was smiling. I have moved some distance away from Nardone, however they are willing to continue treatment. I cannot say enough great things about this practice.

Personal Training

Amanda takes the time to plan a challenging and interesting workout that is catered to my level of fitness. She has been very flexible with my schedule. I highly recommend her as a personal trainer.

Amanda is very good at reading her clients energy, attitude and out-look on exercise. She can then craft a workout that fits with that individual clients needs and desires. She has always had a positive and kind demeanor with me. Amanda pays special attention to body health and building strength in a sustainable way.

I spent a summer exercising with Amanda. We met a couple of times a week. Every time we met she had a plan for the day. I would say that I am pretty fit. I am not the strongest person, but I have pretty good endurance. That being said, Amanda's workouts pushed me to my absolute limits (in the best way possible!). She introduced me to burpee ladders (where you add a repetition of a burpee to every set you complete) and many other forms of exercise. She incorporated into her plans so many different forms of exercise (light weight-lifting, running, static exercises, yoga, etc.). She took my likes into consideration and often included them in her plans. She also introduced me to many other forms of exercise, which made exercising with her very exciting and fresh. What was great about Amanda was that she was very knowledgeable. If I came in one day and she had a plan for the day, but I told her that I didn't want to strain or work on a certain part of my body because I was injured (or I told her I wanted to work on a different part of my body), she was very quick to come up with a different plan for the day. And the workouts never felt sloppily thrown together! There was a very impactful progression to her workouts. I also never felt discouraged at the end of her workouts. I always looked forward to exercising with Amanda because she was perfectly balanced in creating an uplifting environment AND pushing me to my absolute limits. I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough! She has a very healthy lifestyle, she is incredibly knowledgeable, and she is MORE than willing to meet you wherever you are in your "walk with exercise" and help you to reach your goals!
