I'm in my 80s and am taking jazz lessons from Joyce. She is a friend as well as a teacher. She shares her enthusiasm for music and teaches not just about playing the piano but also about the composers and the ways of personalizing my playing. Taking lessons from her has been a wonderful experience for me. I would recommend her to all age groups as she is so attuned to each person she is teaching. She's a special person.
Tim taught acting at a school in LA and I was brought in to design the set for their production of Guys and Dolls. The kids had a ball and it was inspiring for an old show biz cynic to see that kind of enthusiasm and joy. I believe Tim was largely responsible for instilling that in those kids.
My son has taken piano lessons with Rachel for about a year. He had never played the piano before and Rachel made the lessons fun while still so productive. He has learned so much in the past year and really enjoys playing the piano now. From our first meeting Rachel has been professional and kind and has a great way with kids. I would recommend her to anyone interested in quality piano lessons in a stress free environment where your child can really thrive.
Jeff is a pleasure to work with. Each time I finish a lesson, I feel immense improvement and accomplishment. You can count on Jeff to describe a concept in a way that is understandable and easy to apply. He is extremely knowledgeable, and he is also an entertaining person to be with and talk with.
So far I've only taken one lesson with Jen for violin; however, it was very encouraging and I have scheduled future lessons already. She was flexible with me on a time to meet and was quite enthusiastic when I arrived. It took some time to tune my instrument since it's been so long since I last played but she was patient as ever and got it perfect without even needing my digital tuner. The lesson itself went smoothly - she was conscientious of the fact that I have some music background but also no foundation for violin. We did cover some basic things, such as quarter notes and timings, to determine how much music theory I have but it never felt silly. Overall I would recommend trying for sure. :)
She is amazing overall!!
Joyce is a lovely person whose knowledge of music is profound. We always have a great time a my lessons and I learn a lot.
Lexi has worked with both of our children. She taught them privately and at a theatre camp for 11 years. Her understanding of children and their psyche along with her vast knowledge of the theatre is something that everyone should have the privilege to experience.
Sarah has been helping me to improve my acting for over a year now. It has been an incredible experience. She lead me to discover skills that I never knew I had, encouraged me to try new things, and challenged my ability and what I thought I knew about theater. She also was an incredible aid in teaching me about theater as a whole including how to audition. Overall, I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who wants to improve their acting skills.

Michael's acting coaching combines multiple acting techniques (Viewpoints, Meisner, Linklater, Chekhov) to bring the actor closer to a fully embodied, moment-to-moment experinece with their text. Michael has a gift--he is able to keep the actor out of their head by creating an enviornment of play where there is no judgement. A session with him will leave you feeling refreshed and confident with the work.
