She is a really good piano teacher because she points out my mistakes so I can get better at my playing. Han Nah is always there on time. When I am weak in one part of my music, such as rhythm, we focus on it so I can improve. When we have class, I play the piece that I was supposed to play for homework, and then I usually learn a new piano piece, but I also do technique, such as scales and theory, for example identifying notes. I have a practice chart that I check off each time I practice, and I usually get two piano pieces for homework, and a little theory. Sometimes I also have to listen to music, such as by Bach or Beethoven. Han Nah is always very happy, and she teaches me a lot during the lesson. She's really good at explaining terms to me when I don't understand them so that I can remember them. I feel like I always want to go to my piano lesson, even if I didn't understand something for the homework. "See more

I’ve been his student since January 2026 and each session is filled with so much knowledge yet it doesn’t feel like a chore. He goes beyond just telling me about technique and theory by shows me exactly how to move my body so I can play with total ease. Even had a broken pinky and he knew exactly how to pivot our lessons during the recovery! His creative approach breaks down chords perfectly, completely unlocking the ability to play by ear, improvise, and recreate songs. With the chords and ear training I could easily hear a song and start jamming out on a piano on the spot, which is a great party trick :).
