I am so impressed my my son's tutor, Ezra Gouvea! He has been helping my son with Algebra 2 and we couldnt be more pleased!
Oliver tutored me for my Statistics exam among other Math related courses. I struggled with math all of my academic life and Oliver was well aware of my fears and weaknesses with math in general. He was able to accommodate his teaching style to my needs. I would not have passed otherwise. Oliver is very kind, hard working, smart and reliable. I owe him a lot of credit for helping me get through my courses in math!
I must say I am extremely impressed with the quality of service from the first phone call through the tutoring sessions. It is a night and day difference between Arbor and other companies around. These are the best tutors in the business PERIOD.
He is kind and soft spoken and has very nice teaching style. He has been very helpful tutoring my daughter with honors physics.
Michael did a great job tutoring my son with his high school calculus class. My son said that Michael was the best math tutor he'd ever had.
“Our tutor has been flexible, attentive, open, and completely willing to tailor his curriculum and focus on our kids' writing needs. I am impressed by Sean's dedication to help our kids become excellent writers, and have confidence in his well-developed curriculum. He has been extremely open to feedback and a delight to work with. I highly recommend anyone from Student Circle as I am sure your sessions will be a great success!”
Dr James is a great teacher! He is very passionate about what he does and is extremely knowledgeable. He was my undergraduate astrophysics professor and I assist him with stellar evolution research. I highly recommend him for teaching/tutoring as he keeps your attention, makes complex subjects awesome to learn, teaches neat French phrases and what not to say because it actually means something else, and is quick to respond to questions.
Club Z has been nothing but amazing to me. The whole experience, from the enrollment to the actual tutoring, has been nothing short of fantastic. The company is very professional, friendly, and accommodative, and you immediately get a sense that the tutors really want to see you succeed. With the actual tutoring I've achieved fabulous results, raising my test scores a substantial amount. Tutors are very friendly, making tutoring and communicating easy and stress free. I highly recommend Club Z to anyone in search of any kind of tutor. I have no doubt that club Z will match you up with the perfect tutor for your needs.
I believe in creating moments of success for the students I work with. I use asset-based approaches in order to develop competency in subject matter and overall academically. Beginning with the capabilities the student already possesses gives them a chance to build on those skills and develop academic confidence in order to achieve success.
I am going to be attending Cornell University in the fall on the honors astrophysics and mathematics tracks. I have a 4.0 GPA for all of high school, a 2370/2400 on the SAT, and am passionate about teaching. I could travel to a client or tutor in my own house. I have tutored 5 students before that include the following: * 8th grade general tutoring * 10th grade general tutoring * 12th grade math tutor * 11th grade physics tutor * 12th grade SAT tutor
I have no idea what other tutors do --- I know, from feedback from students and parents, that I do an excellent job --- first, I know my subject matter (math, physics) --- second, I like helping people --- third, I am very patient --- fourth, I ask leading questions of the student, so as to guide that student into discovering for himself/herself, as much as possible, what is involved in understanding, and then solving, the problem at hand
Club Z is the worlds largest in-home tutoring service for all age groups and all subjects. We provide proven in-home and on-line solutions for every situation. Our SAT prep program results in a 200 point improvement! Our experienced tutors receive both a thorough national and local back ground check and have at least a collage degree. Many are certified teachers.
I teach general or basic concept in math, algebra, physics and geometry to solve any problems of whole numbers, positive and negative and fraction (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
There are a number of things I do that stand out. First, I'm not out to make a big profit from this. You get the amount of service you need, and meet the goals that are realistic, at a reasonable price. There is nobody, and I do mean NOBODY! who can teach some learning disabled kids better, faster, and to the best of their abilities than I can. I have recommendations from professional peers, a recent supervisor, and parents that will tell you that, time and time again. I can - when conditions are right - teach people how to tell which hand is which, In ONE TO FOUR MINUTES. These are severely dyslexic people, who have NEVER been able to tell their right hand from their left, through ages 11 to 21. Sound impossible? It's real. I travel to you, unless you'd rather meet somewhere central, like a local library. So much of what you pay goes to car expense. To balance costs, I use longer tutoring sessions of 1 to 2 hours per session, and fewer sessions, when possible. When you can't sit that long, we take short breaks and / or have shorter sessions anyway.
I am offering tutoring in the following areas: math (pre-algebra, algebra I and geometry); science (high school biology, chemistry and conceptual physics); SAT math preparation. Morning, afternoon and evening hours are available. I have 10 years of teaching middle school and high school science and math. I earned my PhD in geochemistry and I have experience working as an environmental geochemist. I have developed curriculum for schools and after-school science clubs, and taught both. I try to create a warm and engaging learning environment that supports their executive functioning needs and works with all types of learners. I find learning fun and hope to make it that for my students. Lastly, I see math and science in the world all around us and try to infuse an understanding and appreciation of these in our daily lives.
We provide exceptional tutors for a wide range of academic subjects. Our rates are very reasonable, and we are certain that you will be satisfied with our instruction.
We adopt a systematic and in-depth approach to teaching and learning which is geared towards enabling high school students to succeed and excel. We have an experienced teacher, who is also a practicing engineer besides being a very successful teacher, has the specialty of making complicated topics easy and fun to learn.
I offer math tutoring for high school and junior high students. I do SAT and ACT prep. I also tutor pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, SAT, ACT, and physics. Here's a word from a student: "Thank you! I finished this year with an A in math and I literally can't believe it. This was the best I've done in all of high school. I really appreciate all the help you've given me over the last 3 years."
I am professionally engaged in an environment which constantly requires my knowledge of the sciences in which I would be tutoring in.
We are very selective with the tutors we hire. We only hire the best. We train our tutors, we use the best technology. We tutor ALL academic subjects and have tutors spread out throughout the country. We do background checks for all of our tutors.
I tailor my teaching to individuals - no student is the same and hence no student has the same experience!
