Introduction: Originally from Ukraine, Liubomyr Senyshyn is a violinist currently based in Boston. Prior to his career in the United States, Liubomyr was a member of the K&K Philharmoniker, an Austrian tourers orchestra that performs through Europe. With K&K, he played over 120 concerts per year in the greatest concert halls in Europe: Berliner Philharmonic, Wiener Musikverein and Oslo Opera House. Currently, he performs regularly with Cape Ann Symphony, Boston Chamber Symphony Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to his work as a successful orchestral musician, Senyshyn is also an active chamber musician. For 3 years he was a member of the Lviv(Ukraine) based KLMB String Quartet and he is a co-founder of the Glenside Quartet (Boston, MA). Currently a member of the Temper Trio(Cambridge, MA) Senyshyn has participated in the Kiev Music Festival(2009,2010), Cremona Music Festival(2016,2017) and has taken master classes with world famous violinists Paula Tumeo(Italy), Felix Andrievsky(UK), Roberto Cani(USA), Jela Spikova(Austria), Ilya Kaler(USA), Benjamin Beilman(USA), Patricia Kopatchinskaja(Switzarland) He is a winner of the 2017 Honors Competitions at Longy School of Music and placed 3rd in the International Music Competition for Strings(Cremona, Italy) in summer 2017. In 2018 he got 2 prize at the International String Compettition(Cremona, Italy) Liubomyr holds a Master of Music from Lviv National Music Academy named after M.Lysenko(Lviv, Ukraine) ,Graduate Performance Diploma and Artist Diploma from the Longy school of Music of Bard College(Cambridge,MA). Senyshyn maintains an active private teaching studio in Boston/Watertown area and currenly a violin\viola faculty at Note-Worthy Experience in Sudbury, MA and Sharon Music Academy. Senyshyn started his teaching experience 12 years ago in Ukraine and for the past 2 years he was teaching at El Sistema USA in Cambridge, MA and was associate professor in summer camp in Italy(Cremona). He is giving a series of concerts with his trio and as a soloist around USA and Europe

Liubomyr is an amazing teacher for me, an adult who hasn’t picked up my violin on a regular basis in 20 years. He’s inspired me to rediscover the instrument and given me tips that make so much sense but I never remember learning them that way before. He can translate the notes on the page to your brain in a way that sticks. I cannot recommend him and his lessons enough! Here’s the piece I’m trying upon my return. Yay!

I’ve really enjoy him as an instructor. He is patience with me especially being left-handed having to play right-handed. I’ve really enjoyed it and hope to play as amazing as him one day. He is an awesome instructor!

Liubomyr is awesome! World class violinist and instructor, highly recommended!! Lots of diversity across his studio/students, teaches all levels and ages, but this is coming from an adult beginner perspective who had never before picked up a violin (or any previous instrument experience). And just super nice, easy to learn from and get along with
