We have not had a good go around with Nescor. They were highly recommended from a friend. We had 2 basement windows and a front door quoted. The salesman that came out was a good salesman (and that was it). He took a look and said they could handle the job no problem. I made it abundantly clear to the sales guy "Hey you realize my house is over 100 years old. Things are not going to be remove and replace. There is a very good chance things are going to wrong inside the door jam. Also hey my foundation is fieldstone you aren't worried about issues with that." His response to me was if there were issues with the door jam his installers would build a whole new opening to fit the door in. He told me fieldstone not a problem these guys know how to make sure everything is good. A few days later someone came out to measure for the windows and the door. Another guy came out to talk to us about the financing. Our credit is only mediocre so I knew we may have an issue there. The process started in the beginning of May. Sales guy told us they would have this job done in the middle of June. I went 2 weeks without hearing from anyone. I called to ask what was going on with our job and no one had any answers. Someone had to call me back. I went a week without hearing back. I didn't want to pester them. I finally called again. They told me someone had to come out and measure again. Now we are talking about 3 - 3 1/2 weeks of waiting now. Someone came back out and measured the windows and the door again. I went another 2 weeks with hearing nothing from them. I finally called again. They told me they had just ordered the door and only one window because they decided they couldn't put a window in the opening that was smaller in my basement. Ok I'm fine with that but why wasn't I called about it? At that point in the phone call I made the decision to add a storm door to the mix because I wasn't getting a window. It took another 4 weeks to get a call to tell me "Hey we have your door and window in, when can we schedule someone to come out and put them in?" It's the beginning of August now. So I schedule them to come out. The installers come out take a look at the door and then the window. They took a real close look at the window and figure out that the "vent" that was in (it's not a window it's a man made vent) was cemented in. My foundation is fieldstone. The installers were checking the foundation and figuring out that it was already starting to crumble to easy for their comfort. So the installers made the decision to not put the window in. They brought me over and explained everything to me and why it wasn't a good idea because there was a very good possibility it will cause more damage to the foundation. Ok your professional opinion I'm going with it (I'm not a builder). I respect they gave me an honest answer. So they started on the door. They removed the old door and the frame for it. They started to put in the new door to find out that the walls of the opening didn't line up and one wall was leaning which made it almost impossible to get the door in the opening correctly. THESE 2 INSTALLERS WENT WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE ME AS HAPPY AS I COULD POSSIBLY BE WITH THE DOOR INSTALL BECAUSE THEY KNEW THEY COULDN'T GET THE OLD DOOR BACK IN. THEY BOTH DID A GREAT JOB AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. But now it came to the time to install the storm door I wanted along with the new front door. So the guys started looking at that. Come to find out the new door was a custom door and they ordered a standard size storm door. Let me back up it also took the installers 3 days to get my door in because they kept running into issues on how to make it work. NONE OF THIS IS THE INSTALLERS FAULT THEY DID THE BEST THEY COULD POSSIBLY DO WITH WHAT THEY WERE HANDED. So the install started on a Tuesday, on Wednesday they figured out that the storm door wasn't going to fit. So people were aware at Nescor that the door didn't fit on Wednesday. The installers came back on Thursday to finish the trim work on the inside of the door because every piece of wood had to be cut custom to make it look nice, and it does. So the installers left Thursday with the window they didn't install and the storm door that didn't fit. You would think the company would be in contact with me by Friday to figure out how they were going to fix the things that were wrong. Nope. I called them on Monday to find out what was going on. Of course I when I got a hold of someone they didn't have any answers. I was told that someone would call me the next morning. I got a call the next afternoon asking how everything went. So I went through what happened and then I was asked if they were ordering another storm door. WHAT how would I know if you were ordering another storm door? Then I was told well I am going to have to find out in the morning because the person they needed to speak to about it was no longer there for the day. Ok fine. I got a call from another person the next morning telling me they are ordering me another storm door and it was going to take up to another 4 weeks. Really??? Now here is the kicker about the whole story. I just received my first bill for my loan on this job that's not even complete!!! To find out that they billed the loan on Tuesday before the job was even complete. Also they billed the loan for the FULL amount that included the window, storm door, and the door. Are you kidding me!!!! This job is NOT complete and we didn't do one part of the agreement which you knew on the first day of the job. Tuesday you were told by your installers they were not doing the window and yet you still billed my loan for it!!! THIS JOB IS NOT COMPLETE AND YOU WANT ME TO START PAYING FOR IT!!!!!!! What's wrong with this picture????

This company is horrible. I wrote a review and they had it removed. So I'm just gonna help out and write another. It is important for people to know the truth. The COO of the company is a bully and a tyrant. If you want to be abused and belittled and disrespected, this is the place for you. He said the only reason people work at nescor is because they are losers. He sits around mocking his employees and honestly, he isn't adequate to even be in the position he's in, because he doesn't know anything about anything. He's facetious, condescending and those are just things he calls himself. I want to make it clear that the company would be a better place without him. He is bringing that place down with his misery.

Overcharged due to an error in their assessment and calculations and I was told that Mickey : the WELCOME TO THE FAMILY guy, was going to readjust the price , but later refused and continues refusing to adjust the price. Now is 12 months. The installation was not done as contracted ( less than half of the area contracted was done because it was wrongly assessed ) Attic insulation was installed on the floor not on the rafters as contracted using less than half the materials and labor contracted for, and an adjustment to the price was supposed to be done as promised as a company with integrity and due fairness would have done. But they refused. Very unprofessional, aggressive and deceiving practices by the Company and Mr. J Harris( Mickey) the Vice-President is definitely a disappointment in Costumer Service and representing the integrity of the Company. No wonder their costumer satisfaction in the reviews rank around the 60% to 68% .Update: November 2018. After a year of no resolution on the request for the overcharges to be reimbursement and unanswered voice messages and emails by Mickey the VP I escalated the issue to the president Bob Tarris and sent my complaint directly to him. Waiting on a response.

Nescor came through my neighborhood and gave us a free energy assessment, which was great since we just recently purchased out home. We knew we would need new windows and they informed us about the radiant barrier in the attic that would also help with increasing our energy efficiency. We originally decided to do the radiant barrier. We were very pleased with their work and pricing that a few months later when they did a follow up call, we got an estimate to replace some of the windows in our home. Again they worked with us and our budget to figure out what would work best for us and where to start with window replacement. We are more than satisfied with the work they did in the attic and with the new windows. We would definitely use them again for when we are ready to replace the remaining windows in our home.

So I have a pretty old house and was really worried about how these windows were going to be finished but have to say the installers did an AWESOME job. They look terrific. I was completely sold on the efficiency of these windows and am amazed by the technology. They really live up to the hype. 3 degree jump in overall temp in home and all my windows are not done yet. No drafts! So why 4 stars...one reason...salesman told us, "yeah, we work on Saturdays no problem, one day install, no has to take off work." Great right? Well, when put in touch with scheduler..."we really don't work on Saturdays, two day install but you won't have to be there for both days." Husband takes 2 days off (TH and FRI). Contacted day before and told it is a one day install and can't be there till Friday. Weather. Seems like just a little tiny tiny bit of bait and switch. Be honest. Don't promise thing you can't deliver on. Love their work and would DEFINETELY recommend to friend.
