FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically we take a retainer. Depending on the case and the variables.. expected hours, expenses and services anticipate... well determine the amount. We then work against that retainer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a client decides to move forward we will communicate directly. It is preferred to set a meeting in person either at my office or a location convenient to the client. Occasionally the client is unable to meet in person and in those cases we can do the intake process via phone, email and Skype.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a police Detective and did work for a PI in the same town. I began doing credit card collections at 17 after school (this was way before you could shut your card of.. the internet hadn't been invented yet!). I then began doing domestic work and shortly after that I worked for a large company where I gained experience in retail investigations, Insurance Fraud (Worker's Comp), background checks and undercover placement. My Dad and I started our own agency in 1986. He passed several years ago but I've continued on, on my own since 2008.
