We believe that music is the universal language. It's math, communication, culture, and science. Music is emotional, can tell stories, and be poetic. Even greater it's therapeutic and educational; a tool that can stimulate brain growth and learning at any age. Most importantly, it's fun and enjoyable. Everyone loves music, of some kind and in some way. Music lessons shouldn't be limited to just a single instrument. As multi talented professionals our lessons are tailored around teaching music through whatever methods interest the student. Do you want to learn to sing, play guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, etc.? We're the right choice! Do you want to learn how to play your favorite songs off the radio, write your own songs, record and mix music? Let us teach you! Do you want to play and understand pop, rock, jazz, classic rock, metal, bluegrass and more? Choose us! Teaching music is a great experience. Our students love music, we love music. Teaching is a lot more like sharing the experience, than lecture and education. There's always a new song that we get to show a student, or even a student shows us. We get to share in the experience as students improve, reach, and surpass their goals. We love what we do, and it makes all the difference.

My students become well rounded musicians with great openness and creativity. They are professional musicians, music teachers, home makers, engineers, doctors and scientists. You name it but what makes my teaching stand out is my outstanding students and their desire to make the world more beautiful through their honest expressiveness. Helping people discover the possibilities already within them. Enabling people to believe in themselves more, positively esteem themselves more and grow in service of others.

I'm a very hands-on teacher who caters my students' lessons to their goals and personality. I'm not afraid to adapt my teaching style, and I promise you personal, individualized lessons from a teacher who is attentive and knowledgeable. The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing my students gain enjoyment from the progress they make. I love being there when my students have an "Ah-ha" moment. I can see that we're "finding their voice," in a manner of speaking. It's an amazing experience to share with them.

Thumbtack Spotlight

Voix Vocal Studio

(22 reviews)

What do you love about your job?

My job is quite honestly the best and the most fulfilling one I have ever had. It's not just my job; it is my life. I meet and work with incredibly smart, passionate, inquisitive, and diverse people of all ages who constantly challenge me to always think creatively, to grow myself, and to enjoy the beauty of the art that we create from our own bodies. Sharing a beautiful piece of music with students who are falling in love with singing is the most gratifying feeling. I enjoy sharing in their accomplishments and watching them succeed in their careers. I love seeing the joy in discovering what your true voice is capable of. There is no other work for me.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

I worked for years to just be able to afford to pursue my career. Finally, through the support of my friends, family, and mentors, I just took a leap and decided to risk going off on my own. Like many "starving artists", I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and found that not only was I not receiving fair treatment or pay in many ways, but I was also too exhausted to sin. All I could think about daily was how badly I wanted to be pursuing my own dreams full-time. I took a leap and have now been running the studio full-time and exclusively for almost a year. It has grown exponentially; thanks to Thumbtack. I have gone from one student to well over 20 regular students who I adore working with, learning from, and have a blast with making music.
