Jennifer was extremely creative in getting all my experience, education, and skills on a great looking resume. It was quick and painless. She was great.
Lots of great knowledgeable tutors to work with from all subjects.
My daughter has come across many tutors, but non like Nema. Simply put – Nema is passionate about learning; an essential characteristic of any tutor. He empowers you to master the art of math in a way I have not seen before. I’ve observed his method of story-telling and repetition to help my daughter learn math concepts. In a matter of three visits, she has learned trigonometry and then some. What I also value is the reinforcement work that Nema leaves her with after each visit. I am utterly pleased with Nema’s performance and his price range, which many families can work with.
Michael did an excellent job of evaluating my daughter's needs and referred us to good tutors, including himself. My daughter is receiving the help she so needs.
Mr. Mougy Ahmed has done wonders as a math tutor for our sophomore son! He has a very agreeable, non-threatening tutoring style, and our son enjoyed working with him right away. Our son was getting D's and C's in Algebra II , even with the assistance of a previous math tutor. Mougy came to our house and immediately recognized where our son was misunderstanding foundational concepts in Algebra II, and worked with him to build up that knowledge base and apply those skills correctly. He has been highly responsive in setting up tutoring sessions, sending additional lessons/exercises via email, and even holding extra sessions in advance of math tests/quizzes. As a direct result of Mougy's tutoring, our son earned a B+ and an A on his last two math tests. We highly recommend him to any student or parent who is searching for tutoring assistance.
Alex from Equity Tutors is great. He explains math with real life examples and has helped our son make progress in his advanced math program.
He is amazing so easy to understand and nice and friendly. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a math tutor.
I am amazed as to the quality of tutoring I received from Arbor Tutors given the low price. I was a bit skeptical at first because you never know. It was money very well spent.
Ms. Erin is a great Reading and Math Tutor!
Vincent is very patient, flexible, and has a way of explaining the subject matter that is easy to apply. We saw immediate scholastic improvements after the first tutoring session!! We highly recommend him!
Tutor is always on time.My son is progressing and they email me updates at the end of every session .
I found Novastar Prep to be very responsive and professional. The tutors placed with my son after an extensive concussion he incurred were very easy to work with, communicate with, and very knowledgeable in each subject area. Novastar will always be my tutor company of choice if needed in the future.
We are grateful to have such an experienced, engaging and professional tutor. Judy is insightful, knowledgeable and makes learning rich for our kids. Her passion and dedication is undeniable and she really wants to bring out confidence in our kids. She is very thorough in her subject matter and also creates a motivating environment. She tutors both our 8 year old and 10 year old in Math, as well as language. We are thrilled to have found this seasoned and experienced teacher. We highly recommend her.
I have had tutors for my daughter previously. None have taken any approach as Ms Nancy. She has provided my daughter with ways to solve problems that she can do and her confidence in completing problems has been amazing. Even the teacher is amazed with how my daughter goes about solving problems Ms Nancy has done more for my daughter with school than FCPS has done in 3yrs
My daughter is an elementary school students. At one of the teacher-parent meetings last school year we were informed that she has difficulties with understanding certain maths concepts. We decided to find a tutor for her so the problems don't get any worse. We contacted Ms Dominika and she helped our daughter understand the things she had issues with. The atmosphere during their meetings was so friendly that our daughter not only learn a lot but also had fun doing it.
I wasn’t very good at math, but Neil explained the concepts very patiently and helped me understand concepts I missed in school. I’m much more confident in math now and ready for college math. Would definitely use for more math tutoring.
Call appointment was made but Léa did not find it necessary to cancel the appointment prior to appointment time while not feeling well. She only ended up answering back to me when I reached out to her to ask about whether she would end up calling me. A misopportunity especially if she would have proved to be a great tutor for my child.
Ms. Bowman is an excellent tutor who is committed to assisting children achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. As a former Co-Coordinator of the Saturday Tutoring Program sponsored by the Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I worked with Ms. Bowen for nearly 8 years. During this time, I personally observed her ability to work with elementary school students. She is highly qualified to teach math, reading comprehension and other subjects using novel and easy-to-learn methods that appeal to students at all grade levels. Her personal style and ability to relate to and communicate effectively with students allows her to establish a productive learning relationship with her students. Students are never talked down to nor does she become impatient with them. If someone does not grasp a concept, she simply begins again or tries another approach. Patient and observant, Ms. Bowman engages her students and seeks to get to know them on an individual basis. She encourages them to share their academic achievements as well as their challenges and defeats. By encouraging this type of interpersonal interaction, she is able to foster an environment where students are willing to work with each other, share their talents, and become more confident in their abilities. Ms. Bowman provides intellectually stimulating assignments that not only build upon the students existing knowledge base but also challenges them to develop the best approach for solving any academic issues they face. Her instruction is focused and results in a deepening of students study skills, confidence in asking for and receiving help, and academic mastery. As a direct result of her efforts, students who are failing or performing below grade level should experience marked improvement as evidenced by improved grades and performance on state assessment tests. Because of her teaching ability and commitment and dedication to the academic success of children, I highly recommend Ms. Bowman as a tutor. I believe that anyone engaging her services will find that they made the right decision. Tonya R. McCullough
This tutor was extremely instrumental in helping me pass my precalculus course. I never was strong in math and this course originally presented itself as as a challenge that could potentially prevent me from meeting my degree requirements. The "Guru" was very patient with me as he guided me through homework and how to tackle difficult precalc equations on a step by step approach. My tutor was persisistent and assisted me with problems until he and myself was at a comfortable state and did not stop until he felt that I had a clear and strong grasp of the material. His prices were very reasonable and he accommodated my schedule as well as making sure we had a suitable location in my area for us to meet on a weekly basis. The end results was receiving an "A" in this course which would have never been attainable without his help. I am truly grateful for Mr. Prakash and I strongly reccomend this tutor to anyone who struggles with math and specifically precalc and calc as I continue to work with him as I persue my degree.

I have been teaching for 13 years in kindergarten and first grade, and was a reading interventionist. I am a certified teacher and has a master's degree in education, specializing in reading. I have an early childhood endorsement, as well as English as a Second Language. I have a toddler at home and will have one coming up in the next few months so instead of finding a full-time teaching job for this school year, I am looking for part-time teaching/tutoring job.
