Tim Boaté - Music Producer & Guitar Teacher

Multi-instrumentalist || Music Producer || Recording & Mixing Engineer || Private Guitar Instructor || Guitarist, bassist and songwriter for indie pop band Sunbathers || Guitarist for Boate & Ajluni Duo || I approach guitar lessons in a different way than most teachers. Having now taught more than 5,000 guitar lessons to over 250 different students, I have developed a unique style of explaining and demonstrating playing technique and music theory that is effective for a wide range of experience levels and musical styles. I am not looking to force anything on my students. Instead, I find out what they actually want to learn, what types of music they like, and what their goals are. Then I create a series of custom lessons that allow them to quickly learn or improve their skills on the guitar. In addition to teaching guitar, I also offer a full range of song writing, audio recording, editing, mixing and mastering services, as well as teaching recording and music production using Logic Pro/GarageBand software. I’ve recorded, edited, mixed and mastered everything from singles, EPs, and full albums, to children’s stories (with voice actors and live music) and complete audio books of published novels. I have lots of experience in a wide variety of music genres and production styles as well, including pop, rock, folk, jazz, R&B and more. Playing music has been a lifelong passion of mine. Having spent tens of thousands of hours honing my skills on instruments and recording/mixing techniques, I find it very rewarding to share the knowledge I have built with others, and to allow them to find the same enjoyment with music as I do.
