We hired Gonzalo to give us dance lessons for the first dance of our wedding - it was absolutely one of the best (and most rewarding) decisions we made throughout the planning process. We contacted him only 4 weeks before the wedding with very limited options open in our schedules, and asked for 2 lessons (we have never taken dance lessons before but were on a budget and optimistic about our skills). He was incredibly responsive and accommodating - he even drove for 1hr in hurricane-like rain to make our 8pm lesson in our tiny rowhome in Baltimore, twice! Throughout the lessons, he never made us feel self-conscious or awkward, or like we were asking for the impossible (which we may have been). He was always making us laugh and the whole thing just felt fun. And, perhaps most importantly, he helped us come up with a routine that was completely us (we are not formal ballroom-dance people, our first dance song was disco/electro house). The dance itself was a huge hit, and had people clapping along and cheering by the the end. But even without the actual wedding dance, the lessons would have still been worth it - they were some of the best evenings we had together throughout wedding planning. We are so grateful to Gonzalo and would recommend him to everyone! (Especially groundlessly self-assured millenials with particular music tastes).
