Alina is great , and I would recommend her as your wedding dance instructor. My husband and I have no dance experience. We picked our song, and Alina helped choreograph our dance to fit our style and ability. We took 3 lessons to learn the dance, 1 to practice it, and were very happy with the final product!

Kat was an awesome dance instructor and choreographer for our first dance as husband and wife. When i first made contact with her, whe was quick to respond to my many questions. We reached out to her with less than a month until our wedding, and she was able to schedule us very quickly, within a few days of confirming we would work with her. I appreciated her responsiveness, rates, and availability, so I chose her over four others I had been in touch with on Thumbtack. We met with her three times leading up to the wedding for our two minute dance. During the first two lessons, she showed us the choreography, and in the final lesson, we perfected our moves. She made a custom two minute mp3 of our song for us, and also took video of us dancing the choreography, so we would have that to practice on our own. She was also flexible and understanding when we had to reschedule one of our sessions. We both felt really confident when we danced on our wedding day, and I think our guests really liked it. My husbamd, who previously had no dance experience, got a lot of compliments from his guy friends, so he was very happy. You won't regret working with Kat. Thanks again!

Kat was our wedding hero! We knew that our first dance would need to be choreographed – otherwise we and our guests would be in for an awkward few minutes of us stepping on and bumping into each other! But as the weeks went on, other details and items moved to the top of our to-do list and with about a week and a half to go, we still hadn’t choreographed our first dance. To say we were stressed would be an understatement. Enter Kat, who not only choreographed a beautiful dance for us but cut and mixed our first song as well – all in about a week’s time. Kat really went above and beyond for us, including by coming to our building for lessons, sending us videos of her husband and her doing the choreography so we could study and practice between sessions, and bringing us some sweet treats to celebrate our final lesson. The result was better than we could have imagined! The dance was simple but entertaining and we had so much fun with it. If you need a dance teacher for a wedding or otherwise, look no further than Kat!

Alina is a fantastic instructor and an all-around awesome human being. Around six weeks before our wedding, my husband and I decided that just swaying back and forth was probably not going to cut it for our first dance. Fortunately, we found Alina, who not only made us feel more comfortable being front-and-center on the dance floor—but made us fall in love with dancing in general! We were open to doing something different for our medium-paced song, and Alina went for it; designing dynamic choreography on the fly with multiple styles mixed in. Throughout our sessions, she was patient, fun, and flexible, quickly changing steps that tripped us up or added any unnecessary stress. By the sixth and final lesson, we had the full dance down and were excited to show off at the wedding! Needless to say, our guests loved it. Looking back on it, the best part of our dance was that perfectly captured our personality as a couple. Alina picked up on our energy and designed a beautiful dance to complement it. We enjoyed the experience so much, that we're continuing to take lessons! If you're looking for a fantastic instructor who's completely committed to her students, Alina is your girl.

Incredibly friendly, easy to work with, and super encouraging! My fiancee and I came in with very little dance experience (separate or together) and wanted to work on a routine for our wedding. Gonzalo was beyond patient as we learned the most basic things, and kept adding more moves and steps. I'd recommend him to any of my friends that want to work on a dance for any occasion! When we showed up for our first lesson, he already had our wedding song on his iPod and ready to go. We usually met at his fantastic studio, but he was kind enough to meet us at our apartment on weeknights to accommodate our schedule leading up to the big day. Go with Gonzalo - you won't regret it!

Gonzalo was a life saver! My fiance and I waited until one week before our wedding to take a lesson for our first dance... oops. Thankfully, Gonzalo replied to my request right away and we quickly found a time for him to come over and show us a few moves! I will not be able to do Alina justice in this short review, but if you are in need of someone to help you with your first dance, please go see her. My fiancé and I are getting married this weekend, and of course, two weeks ago decided we should probably get dance lessons. Alina responded immediately and squeezed us in for two 90 minute sessions in back to back weekends. We were nervous as we had never done anything like this, but she put us completely at ease upon entering her studio. We picked a pretty fast paced first dance (Luther Vandross- never too much) and Alina, without hearing it beforehand choreographed an entire dance to it in our first lesson on the fly. She sent us home with a video on our phone after the first week to practice from and I was so amazed! We were dancing and we actually looked good doing it! Square steps, swing steps, and other steps I'm butchering the name of, but just enough to look like we could dance, without being too choreographed. She is really the sweetest, and the woman has moves!! If you can let her help you for even one session do it - you won't regret it. We had so much fun learning together from her we want to go back and learn more at some point to sharpen up our dance skills for other weddings we'll be attending! Thank you thank you thank you, Alina!

My husband and I are so glad we hired Kat to help us choreograph a surprise first dance routine for our wedding. Neither of us have any dance experience to speak of, and she was very patient with us while we stumbled through what I'm sure are very basic steps. She was able to gauge our abilities and our learning strengths very well, and above all, she was really honest about what we were doing well and what we needed to fix. Our guests were SO surprised to see what we had created with Kat - and we have so much fun with the process, from our first lesson to the final "performance." Would highly recommend Kat to anyone, even those with limited to no experience!
