- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always keep up with the latest technology and developments in the IT industry because I am also an computer instructor and adjunct professor at local colleges, universities and technical training institutes. I teach others to gain the knowledge and skills and make a career in the IT industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My formal education and experience has been in engineering and I've been a problem solver for several decades and I simply enjoy helping people. When computers began to become really popular, reasonably priced and the Internet grew with the introduction of the world wide web (i.e., http://www), my entrepreneurial desires and instinct drew me into the IT world.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always thoroughly check the credentials and references of computer repair service providers. Years of experience is often better than formal degrees and fancy sounding titles.
