    When I talked to Janet the first time, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. She was and continues to be very willing to make a schedule that meets my needs. Janet was quick to put me into a small workout group, which is what I preferred. The workouts I have had so far are challenging and suited for my needs. I have actually had a good time working out. She has developed a meal plan for me. I am a very picky eater and Janet has worked hard on my plan to assist me with this situation. I am so very grateful to her for that. She is a great "role model" for me, particularly because we are about the same age! Thanks so much Janet for taking me on as a client!

    Life Changing! Where to start? I started working out with Janet after I had my first child at 36. I was overweight and out of shape, and not feeling good about myself. I started on my own, walking, taking classes at the gym (and had previously worked-out with other trainers). While I lost a few pounds and my conditioning improved - I stalled completely and was no where close to where I wanted/needed to be. I started working out with Janet twice a week, followed her cardio and meal plans on my own, and lost 25 pounds (went from a size 12 to 4 in about 9 months total, but the majority of the body transformation I saw with her within 3 months - follow her eating philosophy!). Even better - I got pregnant with my second child at 38 (almost 39) and continued with Janet through my 1st and 2nd trimesters, followed her eating philosophy (it is a lifestyle change) and only gained 22 pounds, all of it lost by 3 weeks post-partum. I'm 3 months post-partum, just started back, and I'm now 5 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. I feel great and haven't looked this good since my 20's - I'll be 40 next month. It feels wonderful to be in great shape for myself, and my children (two little boys in your 40's require a lot of energy) and even more wonderful to have people comment that they can't believe I just had a baby. The thing I love about Janet is she really believes her philosophy (that eating right and working out is a lifestyle - not all trainers I've worked with are passionate like this). It's inspiring, also - being "middle-aged" and knowing that you can be in great shape and look great is inspiring (Janet also had her youngest child at 39 - so it's believable that you can be in the best shape of your life regardless of age - just look at her for some inspiration!). I had such a healthy pregnancy working with her before, during, and now after - she has improved the quality of my life. She will not disappoint! I know this probably sounds like she's paying me to write this because I can't say enough good things, but she has truly been inspiring and life-changing for me!

Patient, and kind but knows when to push you harder or give you a breather. My experiences have been outstanding.     I have only met with Janet once, but I feel hopeful and excited about my future fitness goals. She really took into consideration everything that I wanted and needed for my health. She insured that she could help me and also encouraged me with advice and a solid meal plan. On top of that, I took the recommended supplements and water dosage (min. of 1 gallon a day) she listed and am not hurting the day after, just a little sore. She wants to see me achieve goals and in turn, I'm SUPER excited about working with her!

    It was summer of 2010 that I hit the highest weight I'd ever been in my life. I had gone from being a size 4-6 to size 10 and I was not happy! I started trying to loose weight and dropped a little but it wasn't really working. Then my boyfriend proposed in September and we set a wedding date for September 3rd 2011. I was excited about getting married and was determined that I wanted to walk down the isle just as I was when I met my fiancé at a size 4-6. I talked about it to a friend of mine and she told me about Janet and gave me her contact info. I was a bit skeptical but thought nothing I'm doing is working so I might as well give it a shot. I contacted Janet around November and had a consultation where I told her about my goals and she said "if you can follow my clean eating and workout regimen I can help you". Since the holidays were approaching, we decided to start in January. I began working out with Janet twice a week and did my cardio and clean eating as she instructed. I began to see results immediately and was excited...by summer of 2011 I could almost wear a size 6. I purchased my wedding dress in size 6 and was determined. Janet pushed and encouraged me even more and I am proud to say that I walked down the isle on September 3 2011 a perfect size 6!!! I continued with Janet after getting married and I am even happier to say that because of Janet's training and clean eating regimen I am now size 2-4 at age 39:)! I also do competitive ballroom as a hobby and what I've gained by training with Janet has also increased my confidence on the dance floor.     In one word, amazing. Janet not only works with top athletes and professionals but she also tailors her program to you, regardless of shape or size. I came to her at my lowest point in self esteem and she helped rebuild my confidence. She taught me that I could so it too regardless of size. I loved that no two workouts are the same and she always keeps challenging your body. Her approach is tough workouts with kindness and compassion. She's the best in town!

    Janet was my trainer for over a year. I learned so much about weight training and the importance of eating more protein. The weight training even helped my osteoporosis. My dexa scan and doctor confirmed it ! I learned that even a size 2 woman needs to to work hard to stay fit and strong.

    I started working with Janet in October 2013 in the NPC Bikini division. I knew that if I wanted to advance that I needed more specific help with diet and posing. Her advice was spot-on PERFECT for me. The meal plan was appropriate for where I was and got me to the place I needed to be. We started working on my posing via Skype and what a HUGE help that was. Since she's an NPC judge, she KNOWS exactly what will and won't work for your body. I felt good about my physique but completely lost with stage presence. All that changed once I started working with Janet. At almost 47 I have taken 4th place in the OPEN at 2 very large shows and have won the 40+ and came in 2nd in the 35+ at my last big show. How did you get started doing this type of work?
Passion lead me here, passion keeps me here, sharing the knowledge is why you need to be here.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The majority of my work is related to working towards teaching my clients a healthy way of living with respect to their fitness level. How to eat better to fuel the body, to train with weights and motivate them to gain strength and shape in their bodies to protect them way into their elderly years. Not only to look healthy but to be healthy with recommendations on healthy eating and what to eat as well as foods that fuel the metabolism and act as natural sources to rid the body of excess fluids due to water retention and fat due to the balance of eating the right amount of protein, carbs, and fats to accomplish this task.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a personal trainer, make sure they can help you not only in the area of strength training, but can prescribe meal plans and nutrition into your program. That is an area most gym trainers not only do not follow themselves but are not knowledgeable in that area enough to help you. Ask them if they can make meal plans for you to follow given your activity level and goals. If they stumble on this question move on. Nutrition and meal plans are 80- 90% of results. Nutrition, Strength training and cardio get you results. No short cuts on any subject matter if you hire someone to assist you. Do they walk the walk and eat like a champion?
