Introduction: Hello! My name is Holly McGlaughlin-Forrest and I've been in the fitness, health and wellness business for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Science. I have a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Recently I became certified as an Autoimmune Protocol Health Coach. If you've got a condition that you have to work around, I've had a lot of experience modifying exercises and health coaching plans. I've worked with clients who have lupus, MS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, just to name a few. I do one-on-one Zoom personal training sessions and have a 12-week health coaching program. Holly’s program encompasses the whole body approach, which is exactly what I was looking for. Too often health coaches focus primarily on just one aspect of health. Holly gives a well rounded inside/outside look and tools to move forward and apply individually to your own needs. I was primarily interested in overall health, and I am incorporating all that I learned from her, and all that I continue to learn daily. I feel so much stronger, healthier and happier. Highly recommend Holly’s program.

I am an over-50 overweight "non-exercise" person with bad knees. Holly has been WONDERFUL, both in person and now on Zoom. I have so much more energy and pep than before! Her philosophy is to help me get stronger without pain. Working with her on Zoom has been great during the pandemic. I have 3 sets of weights, a yoga mat and a yoga ball (in other words--not a whole lot of equipment), and we manage very well. I can definitely tell the difference in my quality of life and my abilities to lift more and walk further. She is very kind and understanding, and her pricing is quite a value. When I visited her in person, I loved the gym in her home---quiet and private. No one looking at you, or sweating or clanging weights! No blaring TVs or loud music. If you're looking for a way to get started towards a healthier life--or to maintain your energy--Holly is a perfect fit. She is very sweet and down-to-earth,and I definitely count her as a special friend and mentor.

I have worked with Holly since she graduated from college. First she was my personal trainer. She was dedicated to my health. Holly tailored all my workouts to me and even then was giving me healthy habit advice. I only stopped usiewng Holly when COVID became so widespread. I knew though that even before this event Holly was thinking bigger. I was so excited to work with her again. I feel much better than I have in years. All of my routine health screenings have improved (A1C, blood pressure, bone density). On top of that, which to me was significant, I lost 35 lbs. Holly also is great about sharing her knowledge of holistically looking at your health. I would recommend her to anyone!! She is always there to help when you have a slump or feel discouraged. She is also there to celebrate your successes!

I am over 50 and had really struggled with making progress toward my health goals. Holly has helped me with eating healthier and exercising more regularly. I have really seen results that I know I wouldn't have seen without her help. She approaches wellness from a holistic view and has really helped me with stress management, healthier habits, and weight loss. She is a positive influence and a great motivator, as well as very knowledgeable in her field. She will work with you at whatever level you are at and celebrates your success with you!   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My 12-week Health Coaching program is $1097, with a $300 discount if paid in full. For Zoom personal training sessions, I charge $50 and hour or $30 for 30 minutes. I do offer discounts for group training.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    A free 30- to 60-minute Zoom consultation, during which I gather medical, occupational, lifestyle and stress level history. We discuss goals and set up a plan for success.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Science; 25 years' experience in the fitness, health and wellness field. Certified Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Certified Autoimmune Protocol Health Coach. Currently pursuing a nutrition coaching certification through Precision Nutrition.
