Tona is an amazingly compassionate and dedicated instructor. She provides voice, violin, and piano lessons to my 3 children; with great flexibility to their varying interests and moods. They are developing a wonderful appreciation for music and the capacity to make their own. Tona is very talented, open, and dedicated to her profession. I would recommend her without reservation.
Very professional, Andrew Pendergast is awesome. My daughter has had 3 voice lessons and now we are incorporating guitar with the lesson. I highly recommend Lessons In Your Home.
William was an excellent violin teacher for our son. As his first violin teacher, he helped our son develop keen interest in the instrument. William pedagogical style was very impressive, and our son made significant progress in a few months !!
While I’ve only started my violin lessons Kirsten has been a wonderful teacher whom I know will be able to help me learn to play the violin.
I have known Joanna for over 30 years now, and know that even back then she had a sheer musicality both at guitar and keyboards. Her handling of elementary school students of any grade when teaching, then middle school and older, was always carefully measured, often catering to individual needs in order to bring out or focus musical gifts, or simply to raise the level of a student's appreciation for art. She has kept that measure of regard for students of all ages since she went into non-school teaching. I also would assure anybody who wants to send a younger student to her that if after an appropriate period of time she felt they were not progressing or that music was perhaps not a good fit for them that she would be honest about that to the parents rather than have anybody waste time and resources trying to engage a child with other interests. But her goal has always been, as I have observed, to find a way to engage them in the first place. Results and honesty, as well as musical passion. What more need be said. (Please know that as a professional musician myself that this is as unbiased an opinion as I can possibly render.)
Janet was our son's violin teacher for 8 years. She was fantastic! She really catered to his interests. She is a patient and encouraging teacher. She kept him interested and challenged. She was very supportive of his concerts and Solo Ensemble - attending if she was available. He continues to play in college. She held intimate recitals in her home which were a great experience for the students. Thanks, Janet!
Becca is full of energy! Very encouraging. Great with my daughter. She is knowledgeable and patient. We are looking forward to many more lessons!
Mr. D was nice to accomodate my request to arrange for a observation of a session that he taught one of his students so that I could examine his teaching method for my decision if I wanted to sign up for my daughter to take violin lessons with him. That helped very much.
Greta customizes violin lessons to my son's strengths and weaknesses. While Greta challenges him to do his best, he has told me that he feels very comfortable playing for her and being instructed by her. He very much looks forward to his lessons and they've inspired him to practice more regularly.
I found Victor here on this website for a guitar teacher for my son and when it came down to needing to hire a teacher Victor had followed up with me. So I took advantage of the first free lesson and he's been my sons guitar teacher ever since. Victor is very patient and knowledgeable, the personal attention and care he gives to each individual child is wonderful. You can tell that he has a love for music and this is his passion. I've spoken to other families that he teaches(some for several years) and they all agree. He works well with my son on incorporating styles and songs he is interested in as well as teaching music theory and basics. My son was a beginner 6 months ago and now he is playing full songs confidently. He loves coming to guitar class and learning new techniques, and songs. I plan on continuing until my son can pay for lessons himself. I highly recommend Victor Crisen.

I've known Todd for many years now & count him as a friend & mentor. His violin lessons are a pleasure -- they are fun & challenging. He knows his students' abilities & caters to them; on top of that, he's familiar with quite a range of musical genres. I highly recommend him!
As an adult student with no music experience, I think that Christine does a good job breaking down the basics into something that can be easily followed. She is patient and will work to accommodate busy adult schedules. She recommended the Samuel Applebaum String Builder book; which I really like as it teaches the basic hand position along with the associated notes. Rather than learning to play by listening then learning the notes. Again she can tailor her lessons based on children or adults learning abilities.
Jun was on time and very sweet with my daughter. She had her first lesson and we look forward to many more.
Ms. Linnea Marchie is an excellent instructor for my daughter. She is enthusiastic about teaching violin and brings positive energy to each lesson so that my daughter looks forward her session and actually practices almost everyday ( It is amazing). We like Linnea very much.
I hold a BM degree in violin performance from University of Maryland College Park. I love working with students and seeing them enjoy making music and learning.

I have taught children to play string instruments for 11 years using the Suzuki method! The Suzuki Method requires parent involvement, daily listening and practice as well as regular lesson attendance. It is an educational method that addresses the needs of the whole child with the primary focus of developing life skills through the vehicle of music study. I help families learn to communicate more effectively and practice productively. Each and everyone of our students achieves superior playing ability and chartacter! Ms. Glenda
