I previously had supremeservice as my go-to hvac company. However, 2 months ago, my ac was not working and supremeservice told me that the blower motor failed and would need to be replaced and the cost will be around $2500 just for the labor. So, I hired Nero’s to get a second opinion and confirmed that it was not the blower motor but something else as my motor was running when Nero’s was testing my unit.

My heat started working on and off in the coldest part of January (when it was under 10 degrees) and they were able to come within 24 hours, and also tell me what was wrong and fix it. This was after another pro told me that I just needed to replace the whole unit for $4000-$5000, but he was able to diagnose and fix the problem in about 15 minutes. My heats been working fine for the past 2 weeks.

Of course on the coldest night so far of this winter our furnace stopped working and was short cycling. I reached out to Nero’s who responds immediately. They sent out a tech to our home at 8p at night! The tech quickly identified the problem, placed in an order for the part needed, and by 9a the next morning I had a message waiting that they had the part and could come out to replace it. Super professional and personable. We really appreciated that on the coldest day of the year thus far they were able to response so quickly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based on knowing the prices of the large companies and exactly how to save my customers time and money. I usually charge $59 for a diagnostic fee that is then credited towards the repair should you choose to go ahead with it. Since repairs vary in difficulty, time and solution it is hard to give a standard price for repair.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I start with a diagnostic fee and let all customers know I will diagnose and quote repair before completing repair should they choose to proceed.
