I have just started my lessons with Uttara and I'm VERY pleased and excited to begin, first impressions are most important/lasting and I'm over the moon!
Gonzo helped me and my wife plan and practice our first dance. In addition he helped our parents with a few dance lessons as well. He was great to work with and we would definitely hire him again!
My husband and I are so glad we hired Kat to help us choreograph a surprise first dance routine for our wedding. Neither of us have any dance experience to speak of, and she was very patient with us while we stumbled through what I'm sure are very basic steps. She was able to gauge our abilities and our learning strengths very well, and above all, she was really honest about what we were doing well and what we needed to fix. Our guests were SO surprised to see what we had created with Kat - and we have so much fun with the process, from our first lesson to the final "performance." Would highly recommend Kat to anyone, even those with limited to no experience!
The brilliance of Judicita as a wedding choreographer and dance teacher is best conveyed by my husband, Andrew: I am a man who is terrified of dancing. In six weeks, Judicita took my dancing from "baby giraffe immediately after birth" to, as our wedding guests commented, "surprisingly not terrible" and "actually kind of really impressive." I did not want to jump out of a window at any point in the teaching process. Judicita was professional, empathetic, and effective both as a teacher and a choreographer. I am extremely happy with the services she provided and would recommend her in a heartbeat. I proposed to a woman of Puerto Rican/Peruvian background. She lives to dance. I was informed, lovingly and with zero wiggle room, that our first dance at the wedding would involve me doing salsa. Growing up, the blackest nightmares I ever had involved me trying and failing to dancing in front of all of my friends and family. So, choking down the terror, my then-fiancée and I contracted with Judicita to teach us (i.e. me) a choreographed 3-4 minute salsa dance. Judicita is--and I cannot stress this enough--extremely good a teaching. She has all of the normal, fundamental dance instructor skills: she's a talented dancer herself, she's very good at motion analysis and mechanics, and she's able to define and adjust choreography on the fly. But where she truly excels is her raw ability to teach. Rather than the familiar and irritating "Do this. No, like this. Point your toe more. No, like THIS. Watch me AGAIN" style of fussy instruction you get at many salsa rooms, Judicita is genuinely and patiently focused on teaching you to move. "That was great!" says Judicita with what feels like genuine excitement. "If you hold your chin a little higher the spin will be tighter, but you've really got the basic motion down!". She continually explained the "why" behind the motions, and let us learn at our own pace without getting hung up on perfection. We learned exactly what we needed for our dance. More importantly, I didn't feel like I was going to throw up from stress during lessons. I could list out many other positives: her quick and precise decisions on choreography--always listening closely to what we liked and didn't like; her flexibility in dealing with our schedule; her constant positivity and professionalism. In the end, we successfully pulled of an amazing first dance that was exactly what my bride wanted. Was I actually a born dancer? An unpolished diamond in the rough whose amazing skills were simply waiting to be discovered? A modern-day Patrick Swayze, if you will? This is what I'll keep telling myself. But the truth is, the only reason I walked out onto the floor excited, confident, and prepared, instead of nauseous and terrified, is because Judicita guided me there every step of the way. She should be teaching movie stars and professional competition dancers, instead of awkward dudes hoping to impress their partners. But thank God she does.
The teaching is excellent. She has knowledge of many dances and keeps training herself to get better. She also does a good job of trying to fit you in on a schedule that works for you. Unfortunately, parking at night is a struggle. Biggest problem is the dance floor. It is cramped, which is problematical for the big, flowing dances.
I have wanted to take dancing lessons for a long time but my husband refused. He didn't want to embarrass himself and didn't think he had any sense of rhythm. But when Gary agreed to come to our home he finally agreed to try the free lesson. That was two months ago and now we're getting lessons every week and we're both loving it! Gary's relaxed approach and great sense of humor helped my husband overcome his fears. We highly recommend Gary for dance lessons.
I just recently began contemporary/modern/hip hop dance lessons with Brandy and I could not have asked for a better teacher! She is knowledgeable, paitient, and highly skilled. I would definitely recommend to everyone! I learned so much in just three weeks and will continue to learn so much as we move forward

The Ferocity Dance Company was founded in 2012 and focuses on Bachata Fusion pieces: mixing ballroom as well as other dance styles with Bachata to create a distinct viewpoint and style. The Ferocity Dance Company houses three other franchise bachata dance teams, and has also grown to have a competitive group that performs Bachata pieces to compete in National and International competitions. The mission statement of the Company is: Fierce Is For Everyone. It is our hope that through constant support for the dance community, friendly behavior on and off the dance floor, and a distinct respect for all dance styles, that we can create a safe environment for all to learn and enjoy dancing. Whomever wants to be family, can be. Most of the students that attend Ferocity are currently performers or striving performers. Students can be seen anywhere from once a week to seven times a week - it depends on how many teams and workshops they attend! We pride ourselves on offering teams that have different bachata styles so that our dancers learn new things, new styles, and new perspective!
