Introduction: My work stands out because not only am I a director and an audio engineer but I am a musician myself. So when I work with a musician in the studio or on a video I can really connect with them and not worry about saying the wrong thing. I can be myself and suggest things from an artist's perspective because it comes natural. I can also listen like an artist and see things from their point of view. It helps so much! The fact that I am my own boss but I am working with someone to reach a common creative destination. When I see or hear how happy a client is with the work that I have done both for them and with them. I truly love art and I'm honored to know that what I do is appreciated and recognized as that.

I hired Ryan Hammer to film/edit a DJ promo video for my mobile/club dj business. I JUST saw my final project video from Ryan and....wow. Beyond awesome. Ryan has been incredibly patient with me from the start of this project (we were first waiting for my logo to be finished, and then some custom equipment which ended up being featured in the video) and he was nothing but patient and understanding with me. When we finally got around to shooting my promo video, we were setting up and just hearing him talk about his camera/lense setup and why he uses what he uses you can tell he really knows his stuff and is dedicated to his craft. He was very efficient when we were were shooting and good a giving me direction so that we could get the best shots and make sure everything was covered. I was able to see the raw footage that day (probably not normal, but we got thai food afterwards and took a look with it) and I was immediately blown away by how clean it looked along with all the great shots Ryan pulled off. At the end of our shooting day I was incredibly confident with the footage in Hammer's hands and his ability to work his editing magic. Throughout the edit process Ryan was incredibly easy to work with, easy to communicate with, and very good about listening to my input on how I wanted the video to look and the overall flow. He took all my requests into consideration and I told him at the end of the day I trusted his judgement when it came to the video. Like I said at the beginning of the review, I JUST saw the final product and I am beyond pleased. Even though I kinda gave him power to take my requests but in the end that he had the final call on everything.....my requests are definitely all answered and he captured what I had envisioned for my video perfectly, and done way more amazing work than I had ever hoped for. Thank you Hammer Concepts, everything turned out amazingly so and I HIGHLY recommend that you use their services if you need some video magic for your business/project :)

I follow numerous blogs and I am part of mailing lists that give tips and tricks and updates in my industry/field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly, I have been a musician for much longer and one day I wanted to start posting YouTube videos in hopes to be another artist discovered online. However, I didn't want to pay someone to produce the videos, so I learned how to do it myself and fell in love with it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Music videos, studio sessions, event videos/live performance videos, voice overs, mixing, mastering, vocal recordings, production, video editing, video resumes. I do and have done various jobs for my clients. I am excited and prefer to work on anything that is original and has depth. If it's not sparking my interest, how will it catch the world's eye?
