FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on a complete package. If it needs painting, tile, wood work or sink install, that will be covered. No need to look any farther to find workers to finish the job. If you want to finish part of the work yourself, that can be done too. I have worked alongside homeowners who wanted "sweat equity", a cheaper quote, and it makes it easier on me as well. "Many hands make light work". There are no "hidden fees", or trying to sell you something you do not want, all I strive to do is to give the best product, and educate the customer on what is available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Almost always the process starts with a home visit, or where the work is to be performed. I will discuss your thoughts on what you would like, give you my idea on how I see your vision, and fine tune it from there. Sometimes that is all that is needed. If the project is a prominent feature that will be added in a room like cabinets or shelves, many times I will make a sketch on my computer so the you can see what is being proposed. This way sketches can be emailed for convenience. If all is OK, then a price is given. Whatever the scope of work, the process is open and informative.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My 45 years of on the job training has taught me well. While in Maryland, I worked for a company for 22 years that allowed me to work closely with architects and interior designers. I was able to glean valuable insight as to what made details for any project better.
