Introduction: I've been teaching guitar and music for the last ten years. I spent seven of those years teaching in Portland area schools where I earned Maine teaching certification.
I enjoy teaching so many different ways to play the guitar: fingerstyle and pick, acoustic and electric, chords and soloing, and in any style my students want.

Brian has been a great teacher and I look forward to continuing my lessons. I am a 34 year old beginner with some music experience in my past. Brian has taken what I know and used it as building blocks in my lessons.
I really like that he incorporates music theory in the lesson because it helps me understand the why behind the cords and notes.
Brian is a great choice for any adults looking to pick up a guitar.

For students of any age or ability looking to play guitar, I would highly recommend Brian as a guitar teacher. I received lessons as a gift and was happy to find that Brian was a great teacher. He's passionate about music and teaching; that is reflected in the way he teaches. As a first-time instrument player, I was starting at scratch as an adult; Brian made me feel welcome, went at a good pace and was very patient and friendly. Brian's location is easy to get to and comfortable.
