About
Ryan has been involved in music from an early age. He completed his Bachelor of Music at Grace Bible College and currently writes and records his own music as well as produces music for others. He performs at open mic nights, weddings, and at concerts. In addition, Ryan is a church worship leader. If you need Ryan to lead music for your special event, feel free to reach out, as he knows how to play a broad variety of genres, from rock to country, to wedding and Christmas music; from church music to singer-songwriter songs. Ryan has been teaching music lessons professionally since 2015 and he teaches voice, guitar, and ukulele lessons. He likes to encourage his students to truly learn how music works, asking them questions to help them recall and absorb the knowledge they have gained. Most of all, Ryan helps his students to believe in themselves – to truly know that they can learn and become an excellent musician, one step at a time.

I’ve been taking vocal lessons with Ryan for a few months now and I’ve enjoyed every one! Ryan met me where I was at and continues to guide me through all of the basics that I’ve missed in order to better my vocal technique and expand my range. On top of his knowledge and personal experience, Ryan is a great guy and never fails to encourage me.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • No, the student cannot read music • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Pop • Rock • 30 minutes • At the pro’s location

I have taken one signing lesson with Ryan and I plan on taking more soon. He was very open and inviting during our lesson and I learned some new things.

Thanks, Marcus! It was great to meet you, and I look forward to the next lesson in a couple weeks.

Ryan has helped me through a lot in music. I struggled so much and he took the time to help. If it weren't for him, I probably would have failed Worship Arts. Ryan encouraged me to try and not give up and now, because of him, I get music so much better. Thank you Ryan for helping me. I couldn't have done it without you. :)

Thanks, Kayla! It was a joy working with you. =)

With music theory tutoring, Ryan is good at pointing you in the right direction but letting you do the work yourself. He will take as much time or as many repetitions as you need. He really knows his stuff, but if you manage to stump him, he'll want to know the answer just as much as you do, and he will find an answer. His help is accurate, useful, friendly, and funny. Seriously, if they made Pocket Ryans for reference, I'd buy one.
Vegh Music Lessons & Studio's reply
Thanks, Ashley! Much appreciated. Hah, I like the Pocket Ryan idea.

The term "musical genius" has been used to describe Ryan. He has personally helped me with guitar (learning notes, chords, strumming, style), vocal work including voice training, harmony, and intervals. He has a deep knowledge of music theory, a passion for theatrics, and a desire to help others.
Vegh Music Lessons & Studio's reply
Thank you very much! I had a great time helping you learn both the voice and the guitar. Continue to take advantage of the opportunities you've been given in using those skills!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Music is practically the air I breathe. As I've grown in music, it has only been natural to help others to hone their own craft. I want people to see that it is possible to excel, even if you start with next to nothing.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds. Young people, older people... It seems that everyone has music inside of them somewhere. Perhaps one person needs singing lessons and another person needs to record a song they wrote, while yet another person just wants to express themselves better onstage. In any of these scenarios and more, I am willing and able to help.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you work with somebody you connect with. Whether you're looking for lessons, studio time, or development as an artist, you need to find someone who understands you. I once worked with an artist developer in Nashville who did not understand my music, and the result was terribly disappointing. He was trying to turn me into something I'm not. As you're looking for someone to help you express the music inside of you, find someone who resonates with your vision; someone who makes you comfortable and confident, yet also pushes you to greatness you couldn't have attained on your own.
