Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: There are so many different parts of my job that I enjoy doing. I love helping people develop a love for playing music and playing violin. I also enjoy seeing the improvement that my students make through the years or while working on a specific piece of music. Teaching violin has been so rewarding in many ways. I'm able to do what I love each day which makes it seem like I'm not working. Teaching music is not a side job for me. I am able to teach private lessons full-time and be able to devote all of my time to helping my students and becoming a better teacher. I enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them meet their goals. With a little patience and practice most of my students have found their goals achievable. This has made teaching music that much more enjoyable and rewarding in the end.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started playing violin at a very young age. After several years of playing it became a passion and a complete love. I played in many orchestras, events, and competitions while growing up. After learning classical music I moved on to learning fiddle. I moved to Tennessee and played in a band for awhile and then decided that I wanted to share my love for playing violin with the world. I moved back to Michigan and started my own studio teaching. Teaching music is what I love to do and I enjoy being able to share that with others.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Finding a good music teacher to fit your specific needs can be a challenge, but doesn't have to be impossible! Here are some of the common characteristics to look for in a teacher: 1. Someone with a good music background not only in the instrument they play, but also in music theory. As a beginner, it is important that the student learns not only technique on their instrument, but also understands about music and how to read music. 2. A teacher should also be encouraging and positive. Most students want to be pushed, but also need encouragement along the way! 3. The teacher should also know how to fix things that need improving and be able to teach you the correct technique from the beginning. 4. One of the most important things to look for is someone who can teach you how to practice. Many teachers do not know how to do this. I have seen many students throughout the years that are able to do their lessons, but when they get home they don't know how to practice. Make sure that the teacher you choose is able to help you practice at home and sets goals with you each week at lessons. 5. Music is fun and exciting. A good violin teacher should not only have great technique and education, but should also know how to make music enjoyable for the student. Of course there are many other things to look for when choosing a music teacher, but these are just a few characteristics to help you get started in your search.
