- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Graphic Design services, I will estimate the time that will be necessary to complete a project, or stages of a project. This is then multiplied by an hourly rate, depending on the type of service requested. For photography, I have a base rate for the time involved in a photo shoot, and a second cost based on the number of photos that are processed, and any retouching required.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet with a new client to gain a clear understanding and details of the job requested. I then will present a firm quote, based on my estimate of the time the project will take.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took painting classes at Oakland University while I was studying in a science curriculum. After graduation, I continued with art courses at Columbus College of Art & Design. Later, I taught drawing and watercolor painting at a Community College in eastern Pennsylvania.
