FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Dad was a very simple auto worker, but was always reaching out to help others. When I was a child, he took me to the movies, and as we were leaving the theater, we came upon a man who was down on his luck, and asked for some money to get a drink. My Dad gave him some money, and told him to get something to eat, which the man thanked him for. Two weeks later, coming home from the theater again late at night, we were held up at knife point. As my Dad pushed me behind him and tried to keep the guy calm, I saw someone running towards us, and feared it was the guy's partner; then I heard glass breaking, and felt a hand grab me and pull me along, screaming, "Run!". A few blocks later, my Dad thanked the man, who said, "After what you did for me, I couldn't let him hurt you." It turned out to be the man my Dad had helped weeks before, and was the first of many lessons that would drive me to continue to honor my Father by helping others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I point out the weak spots in their home or auto security. I help them by designing a simple exercise plan that will be fun and keep them consistent, that can also be incorporated into strengthening their ability to fight back when need be, and use QiGong (a chinese breathing exercise)that helps reduce stress and enhance the other things they need to be at their best.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
What are you looking for long term? You must find a trainer who will personalize things for you specific to your needs, not generalities. A trainer should also be a good listener, and help you develop physically, spiritually, and mentally for overall safety and good health.
