I was looking for a lighting company somewhat last minute (5 weeks) before our outdoor wedding. I was given many different options for lighting choices that I never even knew about, that in itself was pretty exciting. My husband and I had a complete DIY wedding, so when each vendor called to come in, some posed a bit of a difficult compared to others. Trilogy was outstanding. The communication was perfect even in the event of a flat tire, the timing was never stressed on us. We ended up with a beautiful blush backdrop behind our head table, incredible light curtains that draped the entrance of our tent, and a really cool 2-hour photobooth. Everything was an absolute hit and easier than I could have imagined as a bride. I highly suggest this company!

Devin is not only a great sound engineer, but a cool guy to record with. He makes the whole process super easy for the musician. He is very professional with setting up mics and he knows how to get the best sound, whether it be with guitars, drums or vocals. The other thing about Devin is that because he plays the instruments, and he's a singer, and he's been in many bands, etc., he's very knowledgable about music, arranging it and adding certain instrumentations and ideas to the music that I never even thought of as the songwriter! It has been a pleasure to see Devin grow, not only as a sound engineer, but also as a musician. I highly recommend Devin Davis Music for all your recording needs.

I had an wonderful experience at this studio. My Fiance and I had our first lesson here this past weekend. Neither of us have any dance experience and I was very nervous going in. Anna S worked with us and made us feel very comfortable. It was amazing what she was able to teach us in just one hour. We are very happy with choosing this studio to help us prepare for our first dance at our up coming wedding and we are looking forward to our upcoming lessons. I will post a photo of our first dance after the wedding! I highly recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for dance instruction.

Calebria Webb, agreed to preform a song for me that I fell in Love with an had to have it done professionally. My Wedding Day was one of the most important Day of my Life. That Day had to be special. Only giving her a short notice, as some brides decide to add things at the last minute. Calebria was able an willing to accommodate me. As Calebria sang me down the Aisle to ( When I Fall in Love). Calebria preformence was outstanding, professional, an the over whelming feeling I had listening to her voice further let me know I made the right Decision choosing her. Thank you Calabria Webb from the bottom of my heart and my husband you were fantastic. Sincerely with great appreciation Mrs. Kelley

Brandon did my wedding and it was great! My only advice to him is to read the crowd a little more. See what the people were dancing too and keep playing that.

My experience with Mark so far was only for the audition. He was very accommodating, enthusiastic and seemed eager to work with me to create the best musical experience for my wedding which is October 2018. What I most liked about his keyboard music is that he can create the sound of a full orchestra! I will post another review after the wedding.

Just last month my husband returned from Iraq and I planned a surprise welcome home party for him. I needed a DJ and Host for the event that I was confident in. Urban Entrepreneur automatically grabbed my attention from their profile appearance. I filled out a submission form and received a phone call within a hour. DJ Profit is very genuine and knows how to organize an event. Everything went very smoothly. They arrived one hour before to set up and did not charge me extra. They played my husband's favorite song as soon as we surprised him and at the end of the night my husband and I danced to our wedding song. It was a moment I will never forget. Last but not least, they are very affordable compared to other prices I was quoted. I definitely will refer all of my family and friends to them in the future! Thank you so much Profit, you were truly a blessing to us! -Pam Williams

Maria is an excellent vocalist, we were hired as musicians for a wedding reception and had five songs to prepare and sing. She was very well rehearsed before the event, such that when she performed the songs live, she sang them flawlessly with backing tracks and a PA system that she never worked with before. A very consummate professional!

Hi, I am Carol Collins, music director for Thurston Community Players. Doug has coordinated the band and played the keyboard and sax for our musical the last 4 years. The band is quite talented and well received. They adjusted tempos, rhythm and volume as needed to work with the actors. I would highly recommend them for any gig.

The Band was awesome they played at our daughter's Wedding Reception! They were the greatest band I have ever had play at my house. They were very professional and amazing! I would recommend El Kabong completely and would for sure call on them again! They played from 7:00pm until Midnight on our deck that is above the 6ft. fence, people driving by slowed down to look. They also had a DJ for in between sets and after he played well after 1:00am. Ron Muniz came over a few weeks early to see where they would be playing the day of the Reception they were a little early and there set up was awesome! We used to have annual parties this was the best we had neighbors, friends and family calling and saying how outstanding everything was and that they were a part of it! The Reception was July 5, 2014 a Holiday weekend and they made it the best ever! Love El Kabong!!!!!

Two reasons. First, I believe that a successful DJ needs to be personable and likeable - to this end, I make it a goal for attendees to feel they know me by the end of the event: we're friends that just had a great time together at the party! Secondly, detailed pre-planning on the event helps add those extra touches that can make a big difference. This attention to detail shows my clients that I truly care & that I want to make their event special - because it is!

    About

“Byron In Motion takes the time to really get to know the bride and groom. We advise and assist them in creating meaningful and entertaining music choices and announcements with smooth flowing lines. We also work closely with all personal before and during the event, so that the bride and groom have absolutely nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, many other wedding bands and DJs lack sophistication, are generic, and are unprepared. Not us! There is nothing cookie cutter about us. We take pride in our showmanship, professionalism, and dedication to making the event as special as possible for the couple and their guests. We don’t miss any details, we are great at reading the crowd, and we will adapt our playlist if needed. We guarantee that what you read on our website or what you have heard about us through word of mouth is what you will get. We are the real deal – we are a high quality band and are a great value for dollars spent.” - Byron Cancelmo

    About

I sing at weddings, funerals, etc. I also preach for a variety of different occasions, like women's day, etc. I am a licensed ordained minister, so if you need someone to officiate your wedding, I can do that as well.

    About

Being a DJ, I will do everything in my power to make your wedding party memorable and fun for everyone involved, but even the best DJs need a little help to keep the party hopping. A bride and groom on the dance floor creates more energy than most people realize, and more energy means more fun. More fun means better memories that will last a lifetime.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a mariachi band?

Mariachi bands are rooted in Mexican culture. Traditional mariachi bands consisted of two or more members playing stringed instruments, wearing regional costumes adapted from the charro (Mexican horseman or cowboy). Modern mariachi bands, which are likely what you’re looking for when searching for a mariachi band for hire, feature at least four members who play stringed instruments (violin, vihuela, bass guitar called guitarron) and one or more trumpets. The costumes have remained the same, but now trumpets are synonymous with mariachi music. Mariachi bands for hire often play a wide range of music, including styles originating from Mexico and adopted from elsewhere. These include jarabes, waltzes, serenades, corridos (Mexican ballads), ranchera, cumbia, and more. Mariachi bands for hire bring a festive and soulful element to a party, birthday, wedding, corporate affair, fundraiser or community event. UNESCO has inscribed mariachi music on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

How much does a mariachi band cost?

A mariachi band will bring your party or event alive with their fabulous costumes, beautiful playing and strong vocals. The cost of a mariachi band for hire will depend on how many players are in the group. Each musician in a performance group needs to be paid, so pricing is usually based on the number of mariachis (musicians), the location of the event (and travel time required), and the length of the performance. Day of the week also affects cost, as does day — Christmas, New Year’s Eve and other major holidays will cost more than regular days. The national average cost for live bands of all types ranges between $740 and $1,200. Depending on where you live and regional rates for performers, you might expect to pay between $65 and $120 per hour, per player. Mariachi groups may have 12-15 players available for performance at one time, depending on your budget. Here are some examples of how the number of players affects average cost:

    • Four mariachis: $300 per hour for weeknights, $400 per hour for weekends.
    • Five mariachis: $350 per hour for weeknights, $400-$450 per hour for weekends. Weekends may have a minimum number of hours.
    • Six mariachis: $400 per hour for weeknights, $450-$500 per hour for weekends.

How many mariachis can a band have?

A mariachi band for hire can have as many players as you like. Modern mariachi bands typically have a minimum of four players with the trumpet playing a vital musical role along with stringed instruments such as the violin, guitarrón (a Mexican bass guitar with a deep body), vihuela (a Spanish stringed guitar) and guitar. Strong vocals are also an important component of mariachi bands for hire, since one or more of the players will be singing during the performance. For a truly spectacular show, you can hire a mariachi band with 15 or more players. The medley of stringed instruments, multiple trumpets, soaring vocals, and even an accordion or harp is powerful and beautiful. Mariachis typically wear the traditional costume of charros — Mexican horsemen. The look is a very regal, monotone suit, often in black or white, with silver adornments and embroidery. Mariachi bands often wear sombreros as well. Traditional mariachi bands were only made up of two or more players, according to a UNESCO report celebrating the cultural heritage of the musical style. The style of music originated in the state of Jalisco. Now the style of music is symbolic of Mexico but is celebrated all over the world, and adds a fabulous vibrancy to any group’s events, parties and weddings.
