My voice teacher at Lundstrum Performing Arts was Kathleen Bloom. I'm a musical theatre performer and she has years of experience in that industry as a performer herself. She has so much knowledge of the industry and of musical theatre! She customized each lesson to which type of music I was singing that day and how my voice was feeling. I grew as a singer and actor working with her. I only stopped taking lessons with her because I moved to a different state :( I have yet to be able to find a teacher to match her abilities and knowledge yet.

Excellent teaching! I've had such a great experience, unfortunately I have to discontinue lessons for a bit. Once I am ready to take vocal lessons again I will surely do them through Lundstrum and Susan!

Our daughter had private voice lessons with Sue for a couple of years. Although she just graduated from a performing arts high school where she had an excellent experience, she really 'found her voice' with Sue. She was given a challenging and varied repertoire, had many performance opportunities, and received much positive encouragement and guidance. She was a wonderful coach and gave our daughter some much-needed self-confidence, both on and off stage!

Sue is an expert teacher who knows how to develop children into wonderful singers. I highly recommend her for any young person interested in singing for enjoyment or professional aspirations.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our prices are $65/hour, $50/45min, $35/30min. We offer a complementary assessment. Registration can be for any number of lessons, however steady progress is made when you are regular and consistent in attendance and practice. For students who register for the full 12 week session and pay in advance we offer a 13th bonus lesson at no additional charge.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have loved to sing my whole life and have been blessed with wonderful teachers and mentors who shared unselfishly with me as a young aspiring artist. I am simply passing on the gift. I began teaching voice lessons when a music teacher from my high school alma mater asked me to work with some of her current students. I found that I had success in helping those students sing better and that I enjoyed finding solutions to the vocal challenges they presented, and the friendly interactions with with the students.
