Mark is professional, friendly and honest. He did a superb job on installing trim and did it in a minimum amount of time.
I was impressed with Steve from the minute we first met and shook hands. He listened to what my wishes were, gave great ideas when asked and never made me feel like I was asking for the moon. His stellar professionalism is hard to find these days, especially at an affordable rate! He followed up with a quote when he promised and got started on the project almost right away. We didn't make it easy on him having to communicate with 2 different people but he managed us just fine! What REALLY made an impression on me was how smart he was with his billing and follow up. He would send pictures of what he accomplished every time (I was only on-site once a week) and send very detailed invoices with a "Pay" now button, which made it so quick and convenient! He sent pictures of any receipts for materials he purchased that day as well. You just never know what you're going to get these days when hiring someone, but I can tell you - I definitely trust Steve and am putting him in my speed dial :) Tasks performed: clean/prep/paint kitchen cabinets, install new hinges and hardware, order and install new countertop, repair and paint walls, install backsplash "sticky" tiles, install under-cabinet lighting, replace electrical outlets, replace toilet components, fix a crooked bedroom door so it shuts quietly, and made any adjustments to work as we requested. AND he came in at estimate! No, he's not too good to be true! He's real!
Pablo did a great job for us! He had the task of repairing another "professionals" bad job. He had to scrap/repair cracking areas and blend roller marks on our newly remodeled flat ceiling. We were delighted with his work, and professionalism. Pablo took the extra time with us, knowing the expectations we high from our previous experience. Would highly recommend!!!
Greg did a great job remodeling our bathroom. He installed new tile, wood trim, moved and installed a new vanity light and troubleshooted and solved some curve balls that came up along the way. I highly recommend and will keep him in mind for future projects!
Don did a full room. He tore down lath and plaster walls and ceiling and replaced with drywall. I chose facade tiles for the ceiling which were a challenge to install. Don was very patient and did the best he could with them, Manufacturerers instructions did not work. He also removed and replaced original trim and painted. All in all Don did a good job.
We have used Joe's (Josiah) services for over 10 years, initially when we hired his Dad and Joe helped out and directly with Joe for the past 9 years. He has done a wide variety of projects for us, including painting (interior and exterior), roof repair and replacement, siding and window repair, complete kitchen remodel, bath remodel, electrical fixture replacement, garage door repair, flooring installation and others. He is a hard worker and a straight shooter, and I will continue to work with him.
Alex and Adam did an outstanding job on our floors. The floors themselves were extremely worn down when we scheduled them to be refinished. Alex was very prompt with a reply and came the same day to provide a quote. Communication was exceptional and they were able to fit us in on short notice so we could come home from vacation to floors that looked brand new. They also provided a few extra small services including a transition piece between two rooms/flooring styles as well as re-positioning the trim along the refinished floors. We are very pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone!
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
Hired Dan to repair an exterior door leading into apartment.. He did a fantastic job would hire him for any project.. He was quick to respond, arrived on time and was very professional
We hired Larry to demolish our deck, replace doors and repair rotted boards from the side of our house. He was an amazing craftsman - showed up when he said he would, worked through inhuman weather conditions and did an absolutely perfect job. I sought estimates from three people on Angie's List who never responded and three people from Thumbtack who ALL responded within 48 hours. Larry's estimate was the highest, but it was the most complete and he came in right on target. Along the way, he offered us choices that balanced between budget and end result that we really appreciated. Plus, he and I enjoyed a bit of sparring related to politics, which I think we BOTH enjoyed a lot. Larry will be coming back in the spring to rebuild the deck and we look forward to working with him again. Just hope that this review does not make him TOO popular, but he is really an amazing artisan :)
We hired Kel Heyl from Studio Rebus Incorporated to replace the wood trim in the upstairs of our home. This included replacing the railing and spindles going up the stairs, closet doors, bedroom doors and base trim along the floor. The process from quote to the finish project was done with a very high grade of professionalism. We have no doubt that Kel would bring to your project the craftsmanship and attention to detail that we experienced. Scott & Jill Hamlett
Brad is awesome. He did several projects for us including plumbing work, fence repair, replaced some missing baseboard trim and repaired some floorboards in my 1907 house. He did a great job on all of our projects. Would highly recommend him.
Julio switched out some peeling linoleum on my kitchen floor last year to beautiful tiles that I picked out. It looks gorgeous now! He does expert work, and attends to the small details. I have an older house, and some of the windows need to be replaced. Several weeks ago, Julio installed replacement windows and built new frames for my kitchen windows, insulated them, and painted the trim to match. I can't believe how beautiful they look; I am so happy!
We had Apex evaluate some water damage at our business. They proposed a couple of different solutions before beginning the job, depending upon whether there was more/less damage than they expected to find. Once the plan was in determined, they executed the job quickly. They repaired some damage wood framing and then bricked up a former window that had not been sealed properly in the past. The work looks good (hidden exterior on commercial building, so beauty and detail weren't necessary) and was fairly priced. Communication was pretty good, but there were a few times where I had to reach out leading up to starting the project, to get details about where in the process we were. Overall, I am satisfied with the work and would use Apex again.
Bruce was great! I had a cabinet over my refrigerator that was never installed at the correct height. I recently had my cabinets painted, and some crown molding installed. The guy who did the painting and crown molding, didn't want to bother raising the cabinet. I could only access the cabinet if I moved the refrigerator out and then was able to open the doors. Bruce was so understanding and didn't mind doing what someone else should have finished. He found the exact molding, painted it to match the cabinets and also added an additional trim piece that was on the other cabinets. Very prompt, very communicative by letting me know where he was in the process, very reasonable. I now have a complete and "working" kitchen.
We had Kellington Construction company replace our old hollow core doors in our family room level. They picked up the 8 doors at Menards for us. Color matched stain for our existing wood trim. The 8 new 6 panel solid oak doors were sanded, stained, & sealed to match our existing woodwork at Kellingtons workshop. They installed the doors in a very timely and professional manner. our new doors look beautiful and have updated this area of our home. Extremely happy with the craftsmanship! We are now inquiring on another quote on a roof repair for a bump out window seat. The project list continues!
You won't regret working with Casey. He is very responsive, professional, does great work and very fairly priced. We had some flooding in our basement and needed the trim reinstalled. He did that and cut some mold out of the wall. All-around we were very impressed and very happy we hired Casey.
The project was a siding replacement for house and garage. Half of the house is two floors. In total there was about 2400 square feet of floor. We used heavy duty vinyl siding. There were a lot of lights, doors, windows, corners, etc to work around. The crew did excellent work meeting these challanges. Additionally, we went with full metal cladding for all window & door trim as well as fascia, and veranda support structure. The metal cladding was formed on site and perfectly fit everything it was applied to. The crew was here at 7:00 am ready to start and worked till after 6:30 pm. Mr. Lessard was here most of the time when he wasn't retrieving additional materials that were needed as the work progressed. The result was a project that went smoothly from start to finish. It is now a year later and there have been no problems due to winter weather or spring storms. We are totally happy with the results and have no regrets for choosing to go with Tier1 Restoration.
Jesse was a pleasure to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. He installed interior doors, casing and base trim and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend him.
My wife and I are moving out west and wanted to get our house in the best shape possible to sell. We were referred to Veterans Integrity Exteriors by a family friend that had recently had some work done on his own house. Our roof needed to be replaced, we needed several new windows, and we also wanted the interior of our house painted. When we first contacted Blake he was very courteous and he met with us the next day. We showed him the work that needed to be done and he gave us a rough estimate right then. He also followed up with a formal estimate the next day. Not only were we surprised in his punctuality in getting us an estimate in such a timely manner, but his price was at a better rate than a few other contractors that we had been in contact with. We decided to go with Veterans Integrity Exteriors. We only offered the work for the roof and windows to Blake, but after seeing his craftsmanship and attention to detail we asked if he would paint our interior as well. Everything that VIE did was at an exemplary standard. You could tell that they paid attention to detail and they knew what they were doing. Not only was the work quality but Blake himself was nothing short of a gentleman. He made sure that each and every day he left our property in the shape that it was when he showed up. He either laid down cloths or removed his shoes whenever he entered our house, and he spoke to us with respect. Anything that we didn't understand Blake would explain in detail so that we felt comfortable about every part of the process. He never swore, and we always felt that he was working with us, not for us. The roof, windows, and paint job are all something I'm proud to display today. Blake is a man of his word and I will refer him to anyone I know that needs any type of work done to their house. Thank you Blake and Veterans Integrity Exteriors for your quality workmanship. My house has just gone on the market this week, and I know it will sell itself based on the excellent exterior and interior look that it now has.
DPENN Construction completed two projects in my mid-century ranch style home: basement, bedroom remodel and front exterior entry way repair. In a 70 year old home, projects like this are never simple and come with unique challenges. Both projects were completed to my COMPLETE SATISFACTION and met or exceeded all of my expectations. The first thing I would say about DPENN Construction is VALUE. The quality of the work and the attention to meeting my goals for the job spoke directly to value. At every step along the way, David Pennington, immediately responded to all questions and conducted himself with respect for my home and Professionalism in his work. I will call DPENN Construction again when I'm ready for the next project!
