What really sets him apart as a teacher, however, is his ability to break down extremely complex musical ideas into manageable pieces. Izzy does not overwhelm you with theory or technique; he blends the two together seamlessly. The moment that you get some sick riffs under your fingers, you realize you've also learned where the notes live on the guitar. Even as an adult learner, I feel confident progressing with him because he creates a learning environment where improvement feels achievable and exciting. Sara Salseg says, "Ryan is a great teacher! He's organized, patient, mellow and easy to follow and understand. As an adult I had so much fun learning and I couldn't wait to learn more!! My 10 year old has been weird since a year of quarantine and it's been hard to get her interested in anything again and Ryan tried sooooo hard to get her engaged, he picked songs he thought she might like or that she requested. He tried to play music games with her to make it fun instead of following the book. He was just so great with her when her lack of trying was driving me nuts!! He also taught me one of the songs I requested which made my day! Ryan is a local hard working dad/familyman and a great guitar lesson teacher and I highly recommend him!!!! Thanks for everything Ryan I look forward to more lessons in the future!!"See more
