Sara Salseg says, "Ryan is a great teacher! He's organized, patient, mellow and easy to follow and understand. As an adult I had so much fun learning and I couldn't wait to learn more!! My 10 year old has been weird since a year of quarantine and it's been hard to get her interested in anything again and Ryan tried sooooo hard to get her engaged, he picked songs he thought she might like or that she requested. He tried to play music games with her to make it fun instead of following the book. He was just so great with her when her lack of trying was driving me nuts!! He also taught me one of the songs I requested which made my day! Ryan is a local hard working dad/familyman and a great guitar lesson teacher and I highly recommend him!!!! Thanks for everything Ryan I look forward to more lessons in the future!!"See more

If you are a beginner I will make sure you get off to a great start. I firmly believe in providing a strong foundation and continually encouraging you to advancing at your personal pace. I also feel that gaining more musical knowledge is equally important to enjoying your learning experience. You will have fun!! I enjoy sharing what I love with others of similar interest. I enjoy working with students of various music taste preferences!! To play an instrument is a beautiful skill and this is to be encouraged. I will teach anyone who wants to learn. I turn know one away no matter what their current musical level or musical tastes may be. Together, you and I will study Music Performance, Music Theory, Music Appreciation, and some light Music History. It's going to be a fun and rewarding experience for us both...See more

As an example, although he is classically trained, I didn't want to take the classical approach, so I'm learning guitar through pop music. He is encouraging, gives thoughtful response to all my questions, and peppers in bits of music theory in each lesson. He also does vocal training, which wasn't in my initial scope of criteria, but is much appreciated! I recommend music lessons with Alan! :)"See more

When I decided I wanted to start over and learn classical guitar from a professional teacher I went hunting for a great teacher. Before starting lessons with Peter I met with a couple other guitar teachers and gauged them against others I have known. I chose Peter because I found him to be everything I was looking for. Peter is smart. He is both a highly skilled player and a talented teacher. He is dedicated to teaching guitar vs teachers who don’t primarily play guitar or teachers who don’t have any training in guitar pedagogy. Peter is a great communicator in general, which has helped us navigate my complicated schedule and tailor my instruction to my needs and interests.
