Chris did an excellant job of meeting Michael's needs.He doesn't always relate to strangers well because he has high functioning Autism.Chris did a great job making Michael feel comfortable and they had a good time together while learning how to shop for and prepare a healthy meal that Michael actually liked!!! Chef Patrick provided an amazing, participative, multi-course culinary experience. Our evening of dining was delightful! Chef Patrick is a true foodie, his attention to detail and quality ingredients combine to create spectacular and unique dishes. Patrick also brings patience and good humor, warmly welcoming us into the kitchen as the courses were prepared. Virginia has an amazing knack for making the most delicious and healthy foods I've eaten. She has a talent for hiding a serving of vegetables in foods kids love, making "common" ingredients into something your mouth will crave, and making us all want to try new foods- just because they smell so darn good!!
Jeffery is Absolutely Amazing!! He is a magician in the kitchen!! He can have an idea of what to make or figure it out on the fly and everything ALWAYS turns about better then you can imagine. He works with exactly what you have and if you are missing an ingredient he was hoping for, he won't even skip a beat and you would never even know something is missing.....Besides the food being phenomenal every single time, he is such a joy to be around. Always having fun! I Love that he likes to be interactive with you, he loves to show you what he is doing, it's like you get a free cooking class every time he is there. Jeffery has given me the gift of the "Love of cooking" and I never knew that could be possible!! I HIGHLY recommend him 1000 fold.....you should be so lucky to have him bring his passionate Love to your table. He really is that good!!!!!
Kurt did a cooking class at Byerlys. I was so impressed with his menu that day, his life story and his continued strength. I purchased his book to read of his courage and recovery as well as fabulous recipes. It is rare you get to meet someone with such high integrity as Kurt.
Amanda catered a weekend "girls getaway" for myself and 4 other ladies. As we waited for everyone to arrive, we were served unlimited "Salty Dogs", a refreshing lemonade based cocktail, along with chips, homemade bean dip, and guacamole. Cocktails and appetizers were followed by a dinner of spicy pork stew served over southwestern waffles with the "fixins" guac, salsa and sour cream. On the next evening we were served a dinner of marinated and grilled salmon and pineapple with parmesan asparagus. The second night after dinner, we visited the local bars for drinks and when we returned, we had an "after the bar" snack of Nachos. This snack reused some of the same menu items from the previous days meals.(Smart planning!) Before leaving on Sunday, we were served a southwestern brunch with baked eggs and fresh fruit. There were desserts with the meals and the food was all delicious. We were sent on out way with leftovers too. The whole weekend was very relaxing and enjoyable with Mandy taking care of the food for us. Mandy is a very calm and organized planner and a wonderful cook and baker. Also, she is very easy to work with and dependable. I would recommend her services to anyone who has a party or get together coming up or even just for a night off of cooking. You will be able to relax and enjoy your guests and leave the food prep to her. I promise you will not be disappointed!
I hired Chef Renee Michele to teach my daughter how to cook before she went off to college. Besides cooking technique, she's been excellent at teaching how to create a shopping list and meal plan for the week, cooking healthy and trying new foods and recipes she's never tried before. Most importantly, Chef has been very patient and is a great teacher. I would highly recommend her!
Chef Kaye has been working with us (Sunrise Flour Mill, LLC) for approximately 3 years. He has learned the nuances of our specialized products and is able to articulate them to customers. We have taught pizza and bread classes with him and he is able to easily shift between himself and us as we gave information to participants. We have observed him assisting another chef in a dinner for about 75 people and he allowed the other chef to take the lead but very subtly gave him important feedback that no one else noticed but we did because we know his style so well. He is able to use what foods are available in any season and make outstanding meals around them. I have seen many instances where he has tasted food made by others and knew immediately what ingredient was needed to take it to the next level. He is punctual and organized. He knows "real" good food from fad, often unhealthy, foods and really enjoys introducing people to them. He has introduced us to various restaurants around the Twin Cities where former students are owners or working and it's obvious that they all wanted to put forth their best effort for them. He would be an asset to any kitchen, teaching position, or event.
I have known James for about 9 months. During that time I have had the pleasure of being served the delicious lunches that he has prepared. Each lunch is served with healthy variations of meats, vegetables, fruits and grains with delicious seasonings. He has the task of cooking for a huge variety of people...from children, to young women, to young men with large appetites and to staff of all ages and his meals are appealing to all. Also, as an RN, I have worked with him to prepare meals for residents with special dietary needs and he is always willing and able to do this. What sets him apart, along with his culinary skills, is his caring and loving spirit and that spirit is evident in all he does and says. Julie D. RN
Gail and I worked together in the teaching field for 18 years. She is an exceptional teacher with sound knowledge about nutrition and cooking skills. Students loved her classes because Gail made learning fun with her engaging, positive personality. Most importantly, Gail is a role model to her belief in healthy living.
The most recent event that Chef Royal did for me was a cooking class for a church group. The group has members from middle to older ages. Approximately 60 people attended. The event was entitled "A Tour of the World". Royal and his staff set up 6 stations where the ingredients forappetizers from that many countries were set out. The participants then prepared and ate the item and moved onto the next station. I have no negatives about the evening. The food was delicious, as Royal's food always is. Royal and his staff of three added to the fun. All good people. Additionally. this concept is a great setting for a social evening. Everyone is talking, friendly, introducing themselves, eating well and having the perfect evening.
