Experience: Although not yet certified as a nutritionist, I have a wealth of knowledge in regards to special diets (raw food, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, soy-free, animal-friendly, eco-friendly, achieving better skin, losing weight, detox, better digestion, gaining weight) I would love to work with you and your doctor's or nutritionist's guidelines to help you grocery shop and come up with meal plans that are tasty and in line with your health goals!

I did most of the grocery shopping for the family I served as personal chef for. I had to follow very strict guidelines from their holistic nutritionists which was very easy & fun for me.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I am often asked to create short term life, fitness and nutrition plans for clients- which I do, but please know that I am not a nutritionist! I also work as a personal chef for retreats, in home gigs and events.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure your provider has real world experience in preparing meals for others as at home food preparation is a much different game than preparing food for someone else and/or large groups.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I wish people knew that they don't have to be 100% anything. If you want to be 100% raw vegan and your body is happy that way, then do it! It's by no means necessary. The goal is to be healthy & happy- not to fulfill someone else's made up guidelines as to what healthy & happy look like on paper.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Wellness is not just a passion for me. It is who I am. Whenever I stray from the holistic living blueprint I've developed for myself I start to feel tired, weak and depressed. I like to help others find their own blueprint and stick with it. I recognize everyone has their own needs and is in a different point in their journey. My work stands out, because I am sensitive to that aspect of personal growth and I am willing to offer resources, guidance and delicious recipes no matter where you are at on your journey.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I really love helping people and answering any questions they have about living a healthy life, meditating, etc.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I get all sorts of questions including "How do you induce and out of body experience?" to "Which type of non-dairy milk should I drink?" Ask away!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I was once a raw food chef for Pousse Pousse in Paris, when I found myself stranded without a place to stay! I spoke French and made raw, vegan desserts for customers. It was a great way to experience real life in Paris and to learn even more about raw food preparation.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish people knew how awesome Vitamix is.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. In my quest to be healthy and rid myself of debilitating food allergies, I discovered raw vegan foods. While, I do not maintain a 100% raw food diet these days, I still love preparing raw meals and desserts as part of a wholesome and nutritious diet.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Working as a writer in this field, I am continuously doing research about various topics from raw foods to female menstruation & spirituality. I keep up with all of the new research available in regards to these and other health related topics and I follow fellow bloggers and health activists online.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I charge hourly or work with budgets for events, weekly/monthly projects & retreats.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My desire to always improve myself and my skills.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. My focus (via meditation), my physical strength (via ballet, yoga and jogging) & my creative skills (via music).
