I love working with people and train to achieve maximum results. I’ve had the privilege of serving hundreds of clients over the last ten years and have been named Best Personal Trainer in Minneapolis in 2015, 2018, and 2019. It’s an honor and a joy to help my clients experience powerful, lasting changes. My personal training includes workout programming, nutrition tracking, nutrition coaching, sleep tracking, and behavior change coaching. I specialize in evidence-based strength training using protocols from current research, top athletic programs, and my experience in the United States Marine Corps. Joe is a ‘no judgement’ trainer that not only works your muscles, but also helps you understand the decisions you make. He helps with your mindset. Why do you go to the end of the earth for your employer or client, but cannot find the time for your own health? Joe will help you answer that. Joe lives what he teaches, stays positive and coaches in a way to make you learn to change from the neck up. And that helps change you from the neck down.

I trained with JC after having my third baby. Per my request he agreed to train me at 4:30am. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to develop an individualized workout plan. He helped me increase my post-pregnancy abdominal strength as well as total body strength. I was really happy with my results! JC is really kind, committed, and motivating person. You will really be happy with the quality training and enjoyable experience provided by Cross Fitness LLC.

My goals with Joe were to build strength and increase bone density (had early osteopenia). After just one year, my spine bone density increased by 9.6% and hip by 4%-fantastic results. Joe's approach is holistic; he is motivational, inspirational and a great coach.

Joe is amazing to work with and gets results! I worked with Joe Cross for 12 months. His workouts were always engaging, professional, and fun. He promotes a wellness model that includes exercise, nutrition, and healthy habits. I dropped a lot of weight, gained a lot of muscle, and am very happy with the work Joe did; he is a life saver...literally! I've exceeded my weight loss goal and am still implementing Joe's insights and training methods.

I was completely overwhelmed at the idea of going to a gym but my attempts at losing weight had stalled and I was desperate for some help. I had never worked out a day in my life, and was faced with what felt like an insurmountable task of ever being healthy. I was literally frightened at the prospect of trusting another person with my (lack of) fitness! Joe has been my personal trainer for 15 months now. The results I have achieved are amazing and are largely due to Joe’s perfect combination of diverse methods, individualized exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting.
