FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Inner Light Classroom, I believe every child deserves access to meaningful academic support — not just families who can easily afford traditional tutoring rates. As a parent and educator, I understand how quickly monthly expenses can add up. I also know that when a child is struggling with reading, writing, confidence, executive functioning, or motivation, families should not have to choose between getting help and staying financially stable. That is why Inner Light Classroom offers an equity-based pricing model. Pricing is designed to consider both household income and the number of dependents in your family, so support can feel more accessible, realistic, and sustainable. My goal is simple: help more students receive the instruction, encouragement, and learning systems they need to grow.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Inner Light Classroom, I know families are busy — so I do not believe onboarding should feel like another stressful assignment. My goal is to remove the friction so we can get to the real work: helping your child build confidence, strengthen skills, and develop learning systems that actually last. You focus on your child’s growth. I will help make the process clear, simple, and manageable from the start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring more than a decade of classroom teaching experience and two Master’s degrees in Education to every session — but what matters most is what that means for your child. It means I know how to identify learning gaps quickly, understand why a student may be struggling, and build a clear plan using proven instructional strategies. My first Master’s degree focused on Instructional Strategies and Curriculum Design, with an emphasis on effective reading instruction. My second Master’s degree is in Special Education, which trained me to support a wide range of learners, including students with ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, comprehension difficulties, and low academic confidence. I have taught in classrooms for many years, provided one-on-one tutoring across multiple subjects, and supported students in both in-person and online learning environments. That experience has taught me that strong instruction matters — but the relationship comes first. At Inner Light Classroom, I believe students learn best when they feel safe, understood, and capable. My approach is personalized, research-informed, and built around connection. I do not just look at the assignment in front of the student. I look at the thinking, confidence, habits, and learning systems underneath it. The goal is not just to help your child get through homework. The goal is to help your child grow into a stronger, more confident learner.
