FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required by my certification to do continuing education yearly so I do a lot of reading and workshops in order to stay educated and informed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I found personal training after working in a pharmacy. I saw many people on 10 or more medications, most of which could be eliminated with nutrition and exercise. I love helping people and I've made it my mission since then to help as many people as I can while remaining efficient.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I very recently was asked to speak to a football team about strength and conditioning of the lower body and core. I then got to put them through a workout to show them how to develop these areas with nothing but body weight. I am also proud of another job I recently did. I worked with Parks and Rec in Rochester to develop an adaptive fitness class for people with mental disabilities. It was a ton of fun and a great learning experience!
