Introduction: Hello! I am a self-trained chef with five years of experience working for families and individuals. I also have ten years of experience cooking large-scale for social justice movements. I have food liability insurance, and I am a certified Food Safety Manager.
Currently, I am training an apprentice, Khana, who is a very promising young chef! She has two years of professional cooking experience, and is very personable, accommodating, and creative.
Khana and I both charge a set per diem fee, based on an hourly estimate. My hourly rates start at $50, and include custom menu planning, grocery shopping, in-home cooking, and cleanup. Khana is available starting at $30/hr. For weekly meal prep, this often comes out to about $325-475 per week. Please note that groceries are billed separately.
In addition to meal prep, I am available as a full- or part-time private chef. Please inquire to discuss an estimate :)
Our specialties and interests include (but are not limited to!): Chinese, Korean, Indian, and Ashkenazi cuisines; fermentation and preservation; and foraging & local foods. We can present you with freshly cooked meals, stock your fridge with ready-to eat dishes, or provide meal-kit style experiences.
Khana and I are both passionate about providing creative, delicious meals for those living with restricted diets. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, low-FODMAP, following a religious diet, or a doctor-mandated diet (etc!), we would love to work with you! (However, please note that we are not nutritionists and cannot cater to restrictive weight-loss diets without recommendation from a doctor.)
