FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is vital in our field. Unfortunately too many people learn the basics and then try to muddle though with only basic training. I personally attend a minimum of 100 hours of continuing education a year in addition to teaching classes that qualify for continuing education units. It is important that those of us who are on the cutting edge of research or create new therapies go out and teach to other professionals. Likewise, it is just as important for those of us in the profession to go and learn from others who have more experience in a given area and have achieve a high success rate.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The first thing to examine is the hypnotherapist office. Does it present a professional appearance. When you talk to the hypnotherapist ask them to explain exactly how hypnosis and hypnotherapy works and listen to them talk. Their answers should be specific, scientific, and understandable. And finally do you feel comfortable speaking with them.
