What an experience! Doug, Donna and Patrick have raised the bar for what I consider outstanding work. The crew spent two days, plus, just prepping the rooms to be painted -- edging every piece of wood trim with tape and covering the floors with paper; mudding and sanding rough spots and nail holes; removing faceplates from switches and outlets (leaving each screw in place, so they wouldn't get lost). I went from a darker color to a very light one, and it took 3-4 coats to make the dark blue disappear, but they got it done, with no missed spots and no shadows showing through. After they cleaned up and left, it was as if they had never been here. I am accustomed to having to clean up a lot of missed trash after workers have been here -- not the case with this team. No drips down walls, no splatters on woodwork. They are the best!

Work completed 11/11/15. Painted 7 rooms/6 ceilings as well as entry, hallway & stairway to basement, removed popcorn from 1 ceiling, removed wallpaper from kitchen prior to painting. Patrick and Randy were personable, professional and punctual every day, with very good attention to detail with taping, repairing holes/cracks, sanding and painting. They worked quietly and efficiently. If it wasn't for the fact that the furniture was all over the house to accommodate the painting, we wouldn't even know they were there. They vacuumed each room after it was finished and moved furniture back in place. While they were here, we had some rewiring done that resulted in 2 small squares cut out of a hallway wall. Patrick patched it and you can't tell there was ever a hole. Very pleased with Bates and their staff, from owners to painters, and will not hesitate to use them again.

Bates Painting Company did a fantastic job! We have a very detailed gingerbread type house and I was not sure that anyone could paint it to my satisfaction. Oh how much quite complicated and involved several different colors. I'm a very picky customer and admittedly not that easy to please , however, Doug and his crew came in and the job they did for me went well beyond my expectations. I promise I will never use anyone else again! Way to go Doug Bates and Bates painting company!

I have known Doug Bates, Bates Painting for 15 years...Doug's professional painting crew painted my Brookside home 15 years ago ( he will be painting my house again this fall) and I have referred him to dozens of friends and clients over the years!!! Doug is a real pro and so are his painters....they are organized, clean up after each day of painting and when they leave, you only know they have been there by the beautfiul paint job, inside and out!!!
