We had carpet installed last week and are extremely happy with it. We would highly recommend!Jun 2, 2020Verified
When contacted I revieved a prompt phone call. The service was very good, paid attention to details. I shared a sample of the carpet and installer made note of it and was able to head off major carpet issue because he knew it was the wrong carpet that was about to be cut and halted the sale and called me. Great Job! Can't say enough good things about the service!!!!!Sep 18, 2015Verified
We were in a bind with selling our house due to multiple errors and delays with our commercial installer. Jim responded to me right away, and came to our home for a quote the same day. Two days later, my carpet was installed and looked fabulous! They did an outstanding job and went above my expectations in quality customer service. The installers worked efficiently as a team and were super curteous. I can't thank these guys enough for literally changing our lives in helping the sell of our home go smoothly.Sep 28, 2015Verified
Sometimes you really do get what you pay for - stay away. While the carpet samples appeared to be of good quality and the price was right, in the end the installation process was poor and the carpet started showing abnormal wear after just one month. No problem, right? After all, Jim will brag about the warranty and that you will get tired of the carpet before it ever wears out. But that isn't true. After months of trying to work with Jim who claims to keep contacting the wholesaler and the mill, ultimately there will be no action and a series of excuses. So, new carpet, abnormal wear and no warranty? Not a good choice. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company. Stay away from Mathews and Parlo carpet (Cla-Mar wholesaler) via Jim (James).Jul 28, 2020Verified
Just signed up with Jim, He is doing some very high end priced carpet and had unbeatable pricing and trust me I have been in the carpet business in the KC area in my younger days and Jim beat them all.. He also had equal pricing to that of the Dalton Georgia direct shippers and he will be having his son do the install who has been working in the carpet profession since before he was 10 years old. I am on heck of a type A person and Jim provided great service and some good old fashioned long winded stories to boot. My stairway carpet was priced at 48.00 per square yard at the local shops, Jim beat that by 10 bucks per square yard and really went the extra mile to earn my business. I have two more floors of carpet to buy once this project is complete, he is saved in my phone, no need to shop all over town.Jan 29, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Nothing complicated. You have so many square yards at so much per yard. Pretty simple.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We bring samples to the house or business. Measure, figure the yardage and give estimate on the spot. None of this (we'll call you with a price later.)
