FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Refresh takes a professional consultative approach to our projects. Our process is structured after commercial construction allowing customers to go through a design process to ensure we include everything in the scope of the work. This allows for decreased time during construction and limits the possibility of going over the budget as all selections are made in advance. Planning up front saves time and money in the end.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The remodeling industry is notorious for lack of communication and cost overruns. Unfortunately this has led to a poor reputation of constructions firms. We have developed a process that provides a great client experience leveraging technology to ensure communication and transparency for the homeowner.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do not go with the lowest bid, generally they will give a ball park quote with very low level (builder grade) selections. After construction starts you may be disappointed that the budget creeps up quickly once you make the selections (tile, carpet, cabinetry, counter tops, etc) that you want. Most contractors will give you a rough estimate based on square footage, this sets unrealistic expectations. Go with a contractor that does the planning up front and walks you through the design process.
