Lindsey is the best! I was pretty scared to do dance lessons, but she has been patient (both with my bad dance moves and my fiance's constant questioning). :)
Our instructor, Tavier, was patient with our total beginner skill level. He was intuitive and encouraging and we progressed quickly with his guidance doing a modified Rhumba square. Tavier is all about positive energy. We think we can dance the couples dance at our daughter's wedding now without embarrassment (there was definitely that possibility).
Shari choreographed our wedding dance, and was a wonderful teacher. We had a great time every lesson. It was also a welcomed break from all the stress of wedding planning. We would highly recommend her! She made two first-time dancers look and feel like pros.
I do what I do mostly just because I love to do it! That allows me to bring a unique passion and individually enriching experience for my clients.
Blkdance Tek is a fundamental structure of Afro movement studies that has its roots in African, Caribbean and Western cultures, creating a unique form of expression and cultural identity. These creative expressions are taught and performed in a simplistic manner in an effort to introduce the fundamentals of 'education through dance.' Blkdance Tek is a multiplicity of complex movement studies designed to offer holistic experiences of the following: * Dance education * Technical training * Cultural art studies * Performance studies * Complex movement studies * Physical and mental development * Health and fitness
I have a BFA in dance, with emphasis in ballet and modern. I am looking for more opportunities to train others and grow myself.
We offer personal and personalized instruction for every student. We push our students to do their best and strive for high goals. We teach in a structured, yet fun environment. All our teachers use traditional and modern methods of teaching for our students.
Just awesome-I used the word "comfort" in our first talk, and that is exactly what she did-make us very comfortable & confident...which was NOT easy, as we were wanting an unforgettable 1st wedding dance production! But yes-VERY creative & quite patient, and I would certainly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn just about any type or style of rug cutting...
My daughter has been a student at ADC for 12 years. She is 17. There is no better ballet education available in the KC area. I am a professional musician with an excellent understanding of what it takes to succeed in the Arts. The progress of the dancers at ADC is consistent and spectacular. They are well prepared to receive scholarships for summer intensive programs, as well as to dance after high school in college, or with professional companies. They can compete with *anyone* for these honors. Not just one or two excellent students a year are at this level. ADC works tirelessly to give every student the skill they need to succeed in dance. ADC is the training school for American Youth Ballet. Once a dancer is competent to dance with the Company, their performance opportunities, and the skills that come only with those performing opportunities, are unparalleled. By the time the dancers graduate, they have massive amounts of experience with performing difficult choreography and are ready to function on any stage. All of this excellence in training is accomplished by teachers who genuinely care about their students. The personality of the studio is disciplined but relaxed. It's a beautiful balance between the required focus and correction and nurture. The dancers are friendly and happy whilst working harder than anyone can imagine. The excellent leadership of the studio directors has led to great leadership from the more senior students. These kids are the best of the best and their dance education at ADC is a large part of the reason they are such fine people. If your child is very young and interested in dance, you could not possibly hope for them to be in a better, safer, more nurturing environment. They will learn a lot more than dance. They will learn about music and how to behave and channel all that wonderful energy they possess as little ones into something difficult but beautiful. They will do better in every aspect of their lives as a direct result of the learning they do at ADC. That is guaranteed. If you have an older child who is serious about dance, they need to be at ADC.
We are kid centered and family based and excited to bring our love of dance to all dancers who enter our classes! We teach students 3 and up. Our class offerings include tap, ballet-classical, pointe, lyrical, leaps and turns, jazz, modern, hip hop, musical theatre and lip sync, acrobatics with strength and flexibility (floor tumbling for performance and competition), tumble time, combo classes for 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8, dance with me, creative expressions, cheer n' pom, acro dance, and step n' stretch. Our instructors are trained, experienced and dedicated to giving your dancer the opportunity to learn and develop a passion for dance in a fun, safe and friendly environment at a cost that is competitively priced. The Dance Factory has two levels of dancer involvement. Talk to us about the best fit for your dancer. Recreational - for the student who wants to develop into a confident dancer! This level of dancer will receive the experience of performing on stage during our recitals in sessions where that experience is offered. This level of dancer might love to perform on a stage, but isn't ready to compete. Competition - for the dancer who wants to showcase his/her talent by competing with dancers from other studios at regional and national levels. This level dancer also performs in our recitals. Training at both levels can prepare dancers to audition for school drill teams, dance teams or cheer squads.
We build and mold our bodies into the healthiest temple you've ever seen before -- ever! You will not regret it.
I'm a young business-minded man looking to share time, talent, and laughs with anyone who feels that dancing is what they would like to do, either for exercise or skills training or even just the fun of it.
I am a belly dance instructor, offering lessons for group and individual classes for beginning, intermediate, advanced, group/troupe, and performer levels.
Josh played at our wedding reception and did an amazing job. Everyone from the guests, the wedding planner and the photographer had something positive to say. The wedding planner said this was the wedding with the most dancing she had ever seen. The photographer said this was the coolest dance party she had ever seen. Actually she said "wildest" but I think she got a little carried away there. We asked Josh to do a short dance lesson at the beginning of the reception, which turned out to be a big hit and got everyone out on the dance floor. From there, he kept the music going all night and our guests danced until it was time to leave. He played the perfect mix for us and our guests. We heard everything from great salsa hits to the YMCA song. We can't wait to renew our vows so we can have Josh DJ that reception too!
